Have we seen this one before, I haven't. It seems it would be VRS ink.

I think primary bid is a great idea and only became aware of it a few weeks ago. I did ask VRS while back if they ever have a placing could they consider including PIs. At the time of asking I didn't know it existed.

Hopefully having offered that up a few will oblige and we'll have to wait and see if bids are taken up. As I understand it from the open day and since they were covered for some time with cash but may come to the market if they needed to expand which is clearly is what the rns is about.

Potentially exciting times as they won't be buying kit to sit around and I note it's obviously for the graphene ink side too.

Perhaps come Monday they will add in some more detail.

Away at present, so unfortunately not in a position to do anything.
Thoughts are that the fund raising is small so not giving away the company and the also that they either have orders and/or are in the process of receiving them. I wonder what sort of multiple of expansion they will get from another £1m. Maybe Lansdowne are already getting in business for Nanene.

Primarybid getting some momentum with placings. You should ALL register, so can jump on future deals you may already own stock in. I've gone for this deal... Should be very oversubscribed First come first served also

I am teeth nashing because, for a variety of reasons, I am illiquid, and powerless over a weekend to change that. I bought £20ks worth @20p on the Nanene news and I am now @ £4000 a penny, given my overall holding, but at an average overall price of 14.1p per share. At least that's a smidgen below 15p.

It ends the fund raise chat and uncertainty that's for sure and the odd few hoping for it discounted from 10p didn't get it.

I'll chat re that supply tomorrow having done some digging but for one lot I suspect I was spot on.

Then you don't know the market if you think was a fair game played today. My guess is a noon cut off and look at the action. Hopefully somd MMs went naked hoping for it to be lower.

Btw all

It's nice to feel like a real shareholder (assuming uptake) than a paper holder. Nice to know via primary bid any cash taken is a direct benefit to the company

spike - yes, it will and it was ;¬) Well spotted!

tp - I think we all know the market's bent - AIM is effectively an unregulated market, whatever they say - but I just don't think anything particularly untoward has gone on here, so no point in raising governance issues.

The real question is whether NR is just taking advantage of a temporary share price blip to restock the cupboard, or whether he really has orders lined up that will require the extra machinery he's hinting at.

snIt was more of a general point than VRS specific, although VRS may have been hit by the same activity, I just don't know. But I do know this happens time and time again.Re the 15p, no problems with me, it's 50% up on the last raise and I have said recently that I felt they could do with a bit more cash, so all good.Re the share price rising recently, I don't think it should matter if your share price has risen or fallen, a company's shares should not be subject to illegal activity full stop.As I have already said, who knows in this case, but time and time again a fund raising underway and the share price falls as 'insider knowledge' is used illegally. In my book that's theft from shareholders, but I ain't holding my breath for any action by the authorities.

tp - that's all very well, but it moved up from 10p on more or less nothing. Who would you have the FSA chase over that? I think 15p is a very good price in the circumstances - a cynic might be tempted to say that Neill was just restocking his toy shop ;¬)

Cyber

I only have one fear and that is if I was quick enough on Primary bid. FFS that was stressful registering an account then going through the process to be met by "you haven't confirmed your email". Which then removes the populated form Arrrgggggh.

Anyway fingers crossed. I hope I got in quick enough and that VRS want our cash.

Good to see PIs able to get in at the same price.

I am not surprised either to see some fundraising. I had half-suspected in the last couple of days that they might need cash, when the share price dropped so sharply - we all know that the AIM spivs will short-sell.

The good news is that:

* it's substantially higher than the last proper fundraise at 10p... virtuous circle of a share 'on the up'...

* pretty minimal dilution, 6-7M shares... 5% or so...

* they are raising money to buy kit to fulfil orders, which they clearly can't fulfil with their existing kit...

* the amount raised is very encouraging, you would think they might need £2-3M, but it's only £1M. This tells me that either (a) they can see orders coming in very soon and taking them through to cash flow breakeven in the next 6 months, or (b) they are moving to raise smaller amounts more frequently, say every 6 months, but expect the share price to be substantially higher each time to minimise dilution...

Comments?

So they blighters were up to their games knocking it down. It's supposed to be inside info yet clearly to MMs seem to have been active bashing it back for mates.

Thankfully those mates rates include us. :-) I'm busy getting some to add to the rest I have.

It looks like they are ready to scale up.

I thought that might be the cause of the weakness, seen it too many times before.
I've felt for a while that VRS could use some extra funds and this would seem a sensible move, £1m raised for v.little dilution.

I would guess we could look at the chart and it wouldn't take a genius to pin-point when VRS started talking to others re raising funds. Despite everyone being made insiders, it happens time after time , ie selling down as a placing is under-way. Do the FSA ever investigate? Course they don't. Wouldn't be too hard to trace who sold and see if they had any links with any of the brokers or institutions involved. But it seems that this illegal behavior is tolerated. ofcourse it could be in this case that it was mere co-incidence.....
