Don't worry - it was too easy to deserve reward. Ricketts invariably lives down to expectations so I thought from the start I was on a sure thing. I just regret not lowering my expectations even further :¬(

Still, there'll always be a next time :¬))

Hello supernumerary,

I was just letting the day pass whilst all of the rampers posted en masse to try and convince everyone that today’s RNSs are tremendous news.

However, I must congratulate you on your own choice of “VRS pivot” once 30 June had passed. I must admit that I thought it was too ridiculous to admit to the list but did so only on the basis That it wasn’t my place to dismiss it.

Drop China, Blame Covid

Mea culpa, blame it on covid, offer a sop in the form of 20% salary cuts, sell off some loss-making bit to refocus on core competence, announce another small order with a blue chip, raise some money, perhaps for another daft acquisition, and the gravy train choo-choos out of the station again.

Of course it's a bit slower than before, but still moving and still capable of offering directors fat salaries, good pensions, and if necessary a few million no-cost options.

In principle, you called it - far closer than I or Loglorry did with our own pivot ideas.

Sadly, your prize is absolutely nothing, which is the only appropriate thing I can deliver to you given that we are talking about VRS.

Matt Walker@MattWal795122211hThank you very much for all the kind messages from everyone within the @versarien family. Impossible for me to turn down the opportunity in what is currently the world's most progressive company with regards to graphene technology #alltoplayfor

I am proud to be a holder of one of the most exciting companies in the UK. China is not behaving well on the world stage and may come to their senses. Protection of IP is of paramount importance and today’s rns shows the company to have the bottle it needs to stand up for shareholders interests. The easy option would be to roll over and let the Chinese have what they want.

China expansion has been a torturous and tiring episode and credit to Matt, Neill and Chris for the groundwork that has been laid.

China may come back at a later date, but now we must press on with other huge opportunities.

Why would anyone read caro's negative spin when there is so much positive spin to read. He clearly has an agenda.

Caro, you were just trying to put a negative spin on things, as you well know.If that's all you can find to worry about amidst all this good news, then it's obvious what you underlying agenda is.

The China deal was obviously not right for numerous reasons. There's no point in theorizing why, VRS are either moving on or leaving the door ajar. They will do what's best for VRS.

I believe some are missing the point here. This, is it not, a material development in the VRS strategy to move along up the food chain. I'm not sure how many arches are to be built, aircraft seats etc. Isn't this all about a master batch processing facility? Are they intending to manufacture and 3d print on an industrial scale? Would have thought satisfaction to advance 6m would have been met. Certainly something of scale, no pun intended.

the g scale.

"We continue to focus on the projects most likely to produce near-term
significant revenue streams. These include graphene-enhanced transportation arches, 3D printing of concrete, aircraft interior parts, parts for down hole drilling in the oil and gas sector and graphene enhanced
textiles"

I am also sensing some degree of panic today from some of the supposed BEARS - I am guessing the £5m loan RNS and the wording it contained, has caught many of them by surprise. Good.

"kemche I know I'm going to be the target for a lot of flack here and to some extent I do deserve it." Heaven forfend!

"I backed Neill and he hasn't delivered in China as he said he would. I'm not prepared to stop backing him yet" Where to even begin?

"I have a lot of questions." That makes you and about 3000 others.

"Versarien can already produce 1.5T of graphene and so why not just sell that now which should bring in a lot more than £5m anyway." That is a question that no one dare ask. But it is not about the sales but the MOU's, LOI's, Collaborations, Agreements, Participations and Investigations - everyone knows that. The results on the 11 August will clearly show that VRS has nothing to do with sales but paradigm shifting.

I am increasingly DELIGHTED with the £5m loan RNS wording, i.e. the loan is "specifically for a project named G SCALE... which is designed to enable Versarien to significantly increase its manufacture of ...graphene."

Some may say we have heard this all before - but this wording will have been approved by the UK Govt and - whilst an attempt to deliberately mislead investors may still be possible I guess - the clear message would seem to be that there is now a need to SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASE THE MANUFACTURE OF VRS GRAPHENE.

I am pretty cautious, but that is effectively what the RNS says.

But I am interested to understand how the £5m loan RNS can be interpreted as being negative, accepting that it would have been much better if VRS already had plenty of cash with which to address this SIGNIFICANT MFRING INCREASE requirement without recourse to such a loan.

But the key thing that the market / investors are all waiting for is for the very first customer orders to be confirmed. The loan RNS does NOT give us any such definitive confirmation, but I'd suggest it sends out a very CLEAR SIGNAL that there is a firm expectation - both VRS and also HMG - that significant orders will be confirmed over the next few months.

This has definitely been a very painful wait for any meaningful customer order to be confirmed, and for graphene-related revenues to kick off in any meaningful way, but I am happy to put my reputation on the line here, as I just feel this will be heading north over the coming 1 - 3- 6 - 12 - 24 months.
