01/7/2020 08:37 | VRS now financially secure for the next few years at least with no more unsubstantiated fundraising rumours thrown about by the bears. The more I read the RNS the better they sound. GLALTH :-) | tim3416
01/7/2020 08:35 | This is what VRS are up against...organised, active, getting things done. | molatovkid
01/7/2020 08:30 | No satisfaction in saying I read the mood right from the Q&A however, I view the announcements with some sense of relief - for a small company the China deal looked complex and has sapped time and energy - we now have clarity, control and finance and the opportunity to do straightforward deals and hopefully bring in some revenue. Added a few more on the dip. | iofra
01/7/2020 08:30 | I hate to say I told you so .. but i did.. nothing good comes from the Chinese other then good copies of anything .. Every single company who base their growth on a deal with the Chinese in my last 20 years of investing .. end up on the losing side .. ever single one .. even if the deals go through .. it turns bad ... yiu might not see it now but the fact they are out before they got in is a blessing on the long term | naplion
01/7/2020 08:30 | Chinese given oppurtunity for quality graphene and have a month and meantime rest of world will have access asap. Bring on the deals!!! | joeblogg2
01/7/2020 08:29 | A match to the Lanstead funding, well I never. Looks like UK Plc has more of an interest than meets the eye. Matt permanently in place, new chair and China sent to the naughty step. The gearing up to produce Graphene supply or should we say graphene enhanced batches of material for large projects. Watch this space. I can see follow ups now there is more clarity. | fireball xl5
01/7/2020 08:29 | Laughable. Memorably laughable. They'll never learn m'lud. Too thick. | eezymunny
01/7/2020 08:26 | When an RNS turns to talking about protecting the IP that is never a good sign. I'm not, but I really should have a short position going here. | molatovkid
01/7/2020 08:26 | Who thought up the acronym? “..the loan is for a project called G-SCALE...”. My guess is that it was the lender not the borrower, which clearly demonstrates UKGov’s total awareness of the future value of VRS and its IP in relation to the Big 5 (plus concrete, which was not one of the original Big 5). Maybe the acronym was Matt’s parting shot as a civil servant. So pleased to have him personally aboard, coupled with the realities of the loan maintaining VRS’ close links with UKGov. It all fits like a glove imho. Meanwhile the Fully Charged podcast viewing figures just passed 5400 on day 3, which is well above the average, with 307 thumbs-up to date. I was privileged to sit in on the Zoom which gave rise to the poddy, having set up the introduction of NR to Robert Llewellyn after many months of trying, and I can vouch for Neill’s usual chirpiness and instant rapport with Robert, who he had never previously spoken with, let alone met. The recording you hear actually commences literally minutes after their first words together which is pretty amazing. How different from his downbeat demeanour many of us worried about on the Q&A video - he and Chris were clearly weighing up some pretty knotty problems at the time. Now we know. There were aspects of the YG deal which made me uneasy, and on balance VRS was right to bin it, while retaining all negotiating positions. A lot of face will have been gained in China as a result, and a few people around YG may be feeling pretty nervous this morning. | shavian
01/7/2020 08:25 | More likely we never had the capacity to produce 3 tons in the first place | shoelaces
01/7/2020 08:23 | ....to enable market supply of commercial quantities of graphene enhanced materials". Does this mean that our 3 ton capacity has already been breached? Edit. That's 114000 standard oil drums of graphene. | tmoon
01/7/2020 08:23 | Ricketts will have to sell alot of graphene on high margins to pay this loan off. | captain_kurt
01/7/2020 08:22 | They are obsessed ic lol ...never fall in love with a share they say! ;-) | tim3416
01/7/2020 08:22 | All of the doom mongers stick to the wood | ic0gcds00
01/7/2020 08:20 | Aecom was supposed to be this time last year, i hope deals can be progressed asap now!!! | joeblogg2
01/7/2020 08:20 | So many doommongers cannot see the graphene for the trees | ic0gcds00
01/7/2020 08:16 | Never seen a group of people swallow so much of their own trash this early in the morning before. I was a bullish long term holder but, the last 2 months on this board and as a shareholder here have been garbage. Bunch of rampers and of course the shorters. We hired someone, got a loan, and terminated a deal. None of which brings us closer to a commercial deal and people are acting like the white knight that is UK Gov are going to provide us with half as much clout a China deal would have? I sold most of what I had yesterday anticipating this tripe from VRS today. I'll be back at 30p | shoelaces
01/7/2020 08:10 | Youre all talking toshWait and see what happensUntil we know from vrs people just speculatingThe future is bright as we have Mr Right in charge | ic0gcds00
01/7/2020 08:09 | Need Aecom to start the show anytime soon now!!! | joeblogg2
01/7/2020 08:08 | However, in all our activities we are very conscious of the need to protect our IP and are grateful for the support and assistance we have been receiving from the UK Government. A joint venture in China is not compatible with this need now or indeed ever. | rogerlin
01/7/2020 08:07 | Surprised this hasn't gone sub 20p - you're lucky. | molatovkid
01/7/2020 08:02 | "The award of the loan , which occurred on 1 July 2020, follows a rigorous process of innovation assessment and is intended to facilitate the production of sufficient quantities of graphene by Versarien to enable market supply of commercial quantities of graphene-enhanced materials." That will reassure the bigname collaborators who might have hesitated to go big with a tiny company. As will the ever strengthening Versarien team. | grabster
01/7/2020 08:02 | A deal in China is not dead. RNS states that our decision gives VRS flexibility to deal with other interested parties in China. VRS has shown strength. Two very good RNSes which should be read together. | verger
01/7/2020 08:01 | Loan repayments will commence 45 months after drawdown and be paid over a subsequent period of 36 months | jointer13 |
