Although it may feel as though we are never going to get the news we're all awaiting, it's important to remember that things are still progressing behind the scenes even though we can't always see it.

One thing that struck me when I was reading the reports about the Incubation park was the number of times I read phrases such as 'In order to promote the RAPID development of enterprises', ' to help enterprises grow RAPIDLY.' 'funds will QUICKLY connect the outstanding innovations of graphene applications at home and abroad to the market,'.

And we know of course that 'Before the end of this year, there will be 3 to 5 innovative projects in the field of graphene synthetic materials' but just in case anyone doubts these promises of speed, take a look at the comment from the AGM report -'Incubation and factory facilities within preferred key strategic provinces are currently being discussed for final consideration'....so less that 6 weeks ago they were still discussing and here it is fully launched!

When the Chinese get the nod, they really move!

I don't know if it's me or it just seems common sense now.

The AGM update spelt out the processes which now seem obvious with one part done.

No RNS as it's irrelevant if BIGT don't sign up on the announced stake, but then VRS would not sign up to part 1 if part 2 isn't looking nailed on.

In the public sector any decisions which could be used for political purposes (good or bad) are usually put on hold. It can cause delays.

Not a chance he went there for that reason. If it wasn't something very important he wouldn't have gone, he's thinking retirement once the game really starts to motor on the back of some of these deals. It would take more than a PR visit to get him on a plane to China.

Chris is the small print extreme fastidious type and therefore the best man for the job. I imagine that's the words Neill used to avoid another long haul flight.

I one to the golf last year and ended up with David Kerr on a round of golf. I never asked him one question about the company and progress.

This year I was with Chris Leigh and once again I never asked him a question about VRS. In fact I don't believe I asked any of the VRS team questions on the 2 events.

A game of golf, peace from the harassment, but plenty of unrelenting banter about golf. Bloody good player is Chris. The banter failed, he stuck one in the rough, miles out, to about 10 inches.

Unlike that Club Champion Kerr in the previous year where his body suddenly decided he doesn't have the ability or knowledge on how to play golf (typical golfer curse post good rounds)) A Denmark European championship scenario, he got into the club championship by default having not qualified. The David Kerr default qualification is more well known though.

chris ...he came out of his house and errrr... he took a wrong turning, and just by chance he ended up at the airport...and just by chance again he ended up on a plane to china!!!!
would you believe it..

then ends up in a major chinese signing ceremony...and they thrust a pen in his hand....

or there is an alternative...maybe he went on very important business...all planned...all arranged...what do ya reckon.

I too, am like a kid before Xmas but Xmas keeps getting postponed. I am approaching 60 and would like to (semi) retire soon and my state pension is disappearing over the horizon. I'm hoping VRS will come to the rescue, hence my impatience.

Chris wouldn't go to China for a chat with no result, he was clearly there to sign some things imo.

This isn't just VRS but VRS and the UK gov. That could be stage one of the BIGT deal and hence is null and void if the other parts don't complete. We'll find out, all in good time.

The actual update re China was broken down into specific parts of which this was one of them.

So I'm just thought spilling here, part 1 perhaps won't happen unless part 2 re the stake (up to 15% doesn't happen).

It seems logical to me, so why report part 1 for part 2 or more not to happen which means withdrawal of the first RNS.

Just thinking aloud.

Wild guesswork

Is it possible that Chris was somewhat "ambushed" by the Chinese team?
I mean that they could well have said "everyone's here, let's have a signing ceremony with you at the centre"... but we haven't finally agreed the deal says Chris... "OK just pretend to sign it and we'll continue our negotiations afterwards" "smile please"

Therefore, no agreement signed and no RNS... yet!

I'm a long term holder who's still VERY happy with my investment
The team are doing a great job and long may it continue
