After the podcast I bought back my shares. He said the China deal is due in the next few weeks hopefully before AGM. Its going very well so presumably just dotting the I's

All based on this culture of fear and the condensed time frame it can act within causing one to panic. Like a sudden fire and gathering what precious belongings one can get hold of, simply repugnant.Well I'm in a bad way in the hallway, thankfully the duvet broke my fall.

In the news

There is a clear line between appropriate commentary and market manipulation, and Burford is investigating, with the assistance of market experts and experienced outside litigation counsel, the market activities here and will take appropriate legal action should we discover actionable misconduct. We are strongly suspicious that yesterday's significant fall in the share price was based on such actionable misconduct.

Short sellers of this ilk are not long-term investors. Rather, their goal is to panic investors into selling their holdings and thereby to drive down the share price. If investors oblige them, then the attack succeeds, long-term investors are harmed and the short sellers pocket a quick payday.

Companies are largely powerless to intervene in this dynamic other than by continuing to perform, just as Burford has been; the way to thwart the attacks is for investors to recognize manipulation for what it is and not behave as the short sellers hope.

Forget that burrito rubbish. Best to turn the cover inside out, grab the two top corners from inside and catch hold of the two top corners of the duvet.Shake the cover down over duvet and straighten and fasten at the bottom. Done. (Even better if you can hang it over the landing while you shake it).

Fireball - any acquisition of a 3D printing company could perhaps see it bought under Versarien's Aac Cyroma wing (or merged with)? Or merely the purchase of 3D printers by Aac Cyroma? We've heard very VERY little about Aac Cyroma since it was acquired nearly 3 years ago, despite the declared intentions expressed at the time.


PS: The "senior" writer of that article looks about 12.

Decided not to view the daily price movements as frequently as I had been and after my foray into the wrong ticker last week and seeing a 50% fall, then seeing that VRS RNS's were attached to the wrong ticker VRES.There are numerous on going economic and political events, that are causing market volatility. The players are better equipped to trade the fluctuations and the dynamics, I'll leave them to it. I'm reassured by the resilience today and that opportunists are supporting VRS fundamentals which are looking increasingly positive with more value adding news in the pipeline.

I genuinely thought that too Scrutable.

When we started here we kept mentioning that graphene would go into things we couldn't even think of.

Just in todays comments it's in an item that couldn't exist without graphene and Neill and the team never even thought of graphene ink in textiles.

So the first two industrial scale breakthroughs were not even on the menu, or considered an option.

Then there is the polymer being tested for downhole drilling which is something none of us, and perhaps VRS thought would feature either.

As I said a while back I've given up trying to work out what it will be used for. It can go in and just about enhance everything that exist but it's the engineers and innovators of this world that will have the lightbulb moment courtesy of the performance gains and extra factors graphene brings to products.

There is hope and work being down on graphene being the fix to repair a severed nerves, they have found that graphene use causes spinal cord regrowth. They were talking about it at Cambridge.

Eg An example

The team has demonstrated that their material could restore function in a rodent with a severed spinal cord in a procedure performed at Konkuk University in South Korea by co-authors Bae Hwan Lee and C-Yoon Kim. Tour adds that the material reliably allowed motor and sensory neuronal signals to cross the gap 24 hours after complete transection of the spinal cord.

The rodent experienced almost complete recovery of motor control after two weeks.

This time Neill was noticeably more fluent, talking faster, more confidently and with more passion than ever. Not only is he mastering this medium, but revealing with his heightened manner today that the subjects Sportswear and Railway Structures are closer than ever to commercialisation. No wonder the share price is showing special resilience in a dire market.

The interminable patience required over the last two years is I think now very 'terminable' to coin a word.

They do indeed Tim - Philip Green and Mike Ashley spring to mind.
This fellow seems to be a fairly serious player however - apparently he has some serious battery technology where graphene, as we know, could be a significant game changer.

Agree, getting a top sportswear manufacturers product onto tv screens will probably come via their latest top sporting megastar. Couldnt ask for better advertising for a small UK firm from Gloucester!
