14/7/2019 06:41 | Good point serratia - Even at a DIY level the ratio of cement to aggregates can vary between 1:3 and 1:12 - and wider than that in specialised mixes. I have used 1:18 in situations where bulk fill is required to be stiff enough to stay put (a 'cake' mix) but doesn't require any crushing strength. | ![]() grabster

13/7/2019 23:04 | Hi serratia thanks for your comment. The article I was quoting from says China produced 2.4 billion tons of cement, not concrete. So I was thinking about the cement while at the same time thinking do they mean concrete. Anyway as you say its a big number. | ![]() 20pc
13/7/2019 22:32 | 20pc, You add Graphene in proportion to the cement fraction not the total concrete as it has no effect on the sand and gravel. Dosing is more like 0.04% from memory in relation to the concrete. Still a big figure though. | ![]() serratia

13/7/2019 21:10 | Yes indeed superg1, its going to get mad. If you just take snippets from the last month. Neill saying guys working on, if they need to make hundred ton. At some point they will, the 2d cat is out of the bag and it won't be getting back in. If not VRS then someone will, sometime. I am most excited about concrete (heard that before). China produced 2.4 billion metric tonnes in 2017. So if it works in concrete and china only wanted to put it into 1 ten thousandth of that per year, at a loading of 3% graphene, that's 7200 tons. required. So if you only made 1 pence per gm (£10,000 a ton) that's £72m profit per year (that is not a forecast, calculate it with whatever numbers you think appropriate). It is mind boggling, imagine if they wanted to put it into 1%. Anyway back to my beer now. | ![]() 20pc

13/7/2019 20:19 | Graphene IS a whole new massive industrial revolution on the way. I have no doubt about that. Vrs looked to me like the one with the right product, drive and ethos to make the most of it. However as mentioned before, it has completely gone beyond my expectations. The interest is ridiculous. However, I personally think we are only just catching the surface of what is on the way. It seems creation VRS will be taken out at some point. But first up when the big news starts to roll, then the big spenders in investment will start to roll too. So many investors have heard it all before and when it actually happens it comes as a massive shock, that instantly creates trust in the other factors to come. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Tony Seba knows all about such things. | ![]() superg1
