Thanks for the reminder.

This isn't a dig at Haydale but just a point re VRS. When I listened to those interviews on Directors talk one was a joint interview with the VRS and Haydale CEOs.

That was the early days. Ray made it clear he needed folk like VRS as Hayd need suppliers of graphene and Neill said they needed Haydale for the dispersion tech.

At the open day I was told none of the products shown involved outside help for dispersion. IE for most things VRS don't need Haydale. I say most as I don't know for sure if it's all things as VRS have not detailed dispersion news yet.

The CEO has called the recent news absolutely transformational and the hints were very clear about what is coming.

There is no missing piece to move forward as they are. There may be some compelling acquisition of tech or a company to meet an end goal.

As you probably know most shares that get ramped by the city are to provide an exit. A whisper here and there and the eager PIs will spread the word that they promised not to tell anyone.

EG within 2 minutes of speaking to one CEO at a show he was telling me inside info, a big deal due, and a lucrative acquisition so no doubt was telling everyone else I saw chatting to him. It was obviously complete tosh and in the following weeks the share price took off 10 fold which was great for the early holders to cash in before it crashed completely, probably with shorts in play too.

On point I see the VRS slide as due to the total carbide connection with the oil industry for general selling. In fact BR first sales in VRS started as soon as the oil sector started it's dive. That would be BR simply saying get out of micro caps. As VRS had no volume or interest at all the BR selling kept the slide going.

On putting the pieces together I'm guessing I have done a lot more research than most so understand it. I can't post all things and some here know things that they can't post. It's not inside info it's just info not for public viewing.

EG I'm sat on some right now that I have agreed not to post which most here are oblivious to.

The pieces for me on the graphene side that has all the attention at the moment is this.

VRS at one point had only few later GNPs that could be scaled up. Now to me that was massive news as I knew it was missing in the sector.

At that point I felt there was a lot missing. Why produce the best GNPs out there then hand them to Haydale and others who would gloat about how wonderful 'their' product was.

My wish was for dispersion tech. Such tech is absolutely critical you can not simply mix GNPS into products. That is a large part of why Haydale was formed.

Next I wanted an outlet for their own product. AAC isn't just an outlet it identified that they had dispersion technology and for use in plastics it must therefore be viable on cost which was confirmed at the open day.

Obviously a few lurking thought the same and started buying on that news. BR and Allianz thought hey volume we can now dump our holdings and that is what they did.

I thought they would not commit to a plastics factory without something brewing up behind it and sure enough within weeks we hear that customers are in play and launch of products will be released in news in the coming months.

So the wheels of business were ready to go there was just no method to get the products out there. VRS were waiting for proof of performance and they have that now as released in news. Why would they double up on production if they don't need it.

Now excluding any acquisition for expansion plans it's a case of waiting to see who is signed up and for what.

As far as I can see no one else has few layer GNPs in any volume. Very few have dispersion tech and only one has a factory to produce graphene enhanced composites.

And for a bit of banter. Your point is??

Have you met Will and chatted to him, do you know why he left?

Have you managed to get hold of the Allianz friend yet to see why they sold. I think the PDF found explained it all re the relevant fund but nice to have it confirmed.

Many ask about funding and cash so all I have done is hunt down the points there.

You like straight talk so I don't get the organic growth bits as it's obvious that's what the new tech is about.

As for spending for that they have already doubled on GNP production and the AAC acquisition is exactly that a factory full of machinery that can produce graphene enhanced products.

Hence my interest now all the aspects needed for products are in place.

So as it stands they sell GNPs and as in the OEM news in a resin master batch or direct sales of GNPs. Then with product orders AAC related they can produce graphene enhanced products as there is down time on machines and plant capacity to double output.

Re Henderson it's split 3 ways with about 11 mill of those in the Strathclyde pension fund

I have had a look at the shareholders and notice that one of the directors resigned last year but the principal shareholder is Henderson who have a good record of finding a helping small businesses to become successful.

A very good point but cast that aside ask the question as to how Ricketts and his men make this a very profitable business - is it acquisitions to add volume and profits or is it internal organic growth as the later will need some form of capital as I for one am not keen on discounting invoices - an expensive form of money.

Funding is not really an issue to my mind. There are plenty of funding sources looking to invest in graphene whether Government bodies looking to support 'National Champions', supranational bodies such as EU trying to create regional expertise and partnering between academia and industry and Corporate investors looking to maintain their Industry leadership position (Huntsman) or new entrants looking to leapfrog incumbent competitors (Nokia).

I think Ricketts made the point quite well at the Investor Day he is one of the biggest shareholders. His interests are aligned with ours. He is aware of the impact of and thus unwilling to undertake dilution. He pointedly said he'd be flying at the back of the plane to the US whilst his 'better funded' peers would fly First Class but he is prepared to 'cut his cloth' and be thrifty where needed.

So the point you are making is what....?
That the business is financially stable?

I just listened to all the directors talk interviews listed and the MOU type interviews like CT engineering, Absolute engineering and Warwick had some interesting points in them. There is a chance of news on all those MOUs/collaborations.

But ignoring those I came across a line for those that seem interested in the cash and funding situation. The relevant line is in the link below 56 seconds into the interview.

Recently VRS said they had £1.5 mill cash and I've mentioned before about invoice discounting and a 'banking facility' as previously mentioned in news.

2016 annual report

'with £0.7 million of headroom on its invoice finance facilities'

'providing working capital facilities either from existing reserves,
its public listing or via banking facilities.'

Since that time they have acquired AAC so on that side there will be further invoice discounting available.

On the banking facility I picked up on the comment in the video from the CFO that the banking facility amounts to about £2 million

56 seconds

So it seems potentially they had the £1.5 mill cash, invoicing facilities and backed by £2 mill worth of banking facilities. Such banking facilities no doubt come on the back of owning businesses with revenues. Talking of which AAC no doubt will have enhanced bank support.

Nokia’s new smartphones are to be fitted with light sensitive graphene sensors

Recently, researchers at Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University claimed that camera sensors made of Graphene were 1,000 times more sensitive to light in comparison with the standard CMOS camera sensors used in their phones, as well as being five times less expensive to make.

Therefore, it is possible that Nokia will look at bringing in camera sensors which will have the ability to capture high quality images in both low light and bright sunlight conditions, which may be an improvement on the current industry standard.

That doesn't sound like the VRS OEM based on carbon fibre and various parts etc BUT if they launch such phones with claims about the sensor and proven performance as it is such a high profile company and product that should be the end to the

"What............ Graphene that's years away, if ever"

No just mooching about for bits of info some of which I can't post yet.

That's a very interesting find re Nokia. Enjoying some ale while watching the Aussies get another lesson in rugby has got me up early. Apols to the Aussie viewer (assuming Aussie born) but you know there was only going to be one outcome.

I'll have a look at Nokia to see what can be discovered, I can't imagine it's in a touchscreen already but would expect it to be in the casing due to the enhancement gains.

Something is nagging me re the Nordic region I feel sure that area got a mention by the CEO in an interview or the like.

Aha

The CEO has obviously been to a DTI event this week with some rather important people.

There is a picture on twitter he is sat on stage with (squinting at the presentation)

Noel Harwerth UKEF (UK gov Export finance) non exec director and chair

Jacqueline De Rojas EVP Northern Europe sage plc

Mark Elborne. President & CEO GE UK & Ireland.

Little old Versarien sat there.

I keep telling folk what they have is important and a breakthrough worldwide but hey ho a bit of reading seems too much when the word graphene gets a mention. Nice to be here with a few that do get it.

Zero trades on ISDX today. All buying today on AIM. The MMs have just reduced the 'published' offer price to reflect what the 'real' offer has been for the last couple of days.

Talking of trademarks you have to go for something unusual to avoid crossing paths with others. Then the other point is searching for it. EG if I choose Graphex like century did then my first hit is a fishing rod which is not theirs.
