Hi Fest,
I guess it comes down to what it is each company exports.

In our case its 'Knowledge' IP and some Kg of Nanene or lot of polygrene
'batched' in UK or USA maybe.

Guess Chris at VRS is the only one to 'know' how it effects us.

Absolutely Woody that's just what advfn recommended when I contacted support. Not a great deal of urgency about the issue from their side clearly:-(

Tim, you should e able to search VRS and the first one that comes up is VRS:LSE... you should be able to add that to your monitor and get the main LSE trading prices and news stream... that isn't possible any more and needs to be corrected as that is where most newcomers look for news. We shouldn't have to go to the NEX/GB ticker to pick up our news...

@neillricketts is it correct that @versarien new head of the US operation, Patrick Abbott is still involved in an active criminal investigation? As it seems to show on the Harris County District Clerk webpage. #VRS #nanene #VRSFAMILY

Laginaneil, that is only true if both entities are accustomed to that. It has always benefitted the oil and gas industry to do that, and it has always been the case for importing goods from Asia to do that. That's due to the stability of the dollar over the last 60 years. If the U.K. if we had moved to the Euro it would have been straightforward, but we didn't.Most U.K. exporters trade in euro or GBP, and are now badly disadvantaged until the Brexit mess is resolved. It's much easier for importers.

Agree Fest, it might be a condition of purchase in today’s climate. Either way is achievable, sell or buy forward. That’s presuming that VRS hasn’t lumbered itself with an international factoring agreement. Plenty of ways to skin a cat that are mutually acceptable. There could be some wild fluctuations up until the 12th. Once that hurdle is crossed, surely it’s time to bin the idea. It’s like a splinter one mines at and keeps returning.

It doesn't really matter which way the coin falls VRS will still be the go to company in the graphene space. Financials are always a discussion point but when you have the right products you'll always be starting on the front foot. VRS has and is proving that it doesn't matter which country we will if we see value work to drive it forward

I agree fest, hedging is simply insurance and the riskier the contract the higher the premium so whilst we are in this Brexit mess any contracts are going to be harder to agree.

Fireball, I've been thinking about that, and it's not so simple. In my experience, such transactions are usually in the sellers nominated currency, and the buyer will hedge against currency movements. In fact that's the only way round I've ever seen it.In this instance, AECOM or whoever are purchasing a product priced in GBP, because how else can VRS price it?Anyone purchasing anything from outside the U.K. is taking a gamble for the foreseeable future.

It will all be in the buyers nominated currency in the current climate with one party hedging contract values. Not a problem.

clint - spot on, Aecom are delivering projects for clients and contracts are based on assumptions of costs involved (including around a 10% contingency).

My take is that the end user client for Aecom's project has a budgeted amount they are willing to spend, and it's now a matter of finalising figures for the bottom line and contract signing.

Almost regardless however, the project will need to go ahead.

I think Neil suggested that, in or out, we would be able to work OK as we have an EU subsidiary, so won't be locked out of any closed shops.
The problem for business at the moment is not knowing whether we will be in or out. Imagine if VRS are pricing in £ and Aecom are budgeting for a job in France paying in € run by US HQ in $. Whilst currency fluctuations are normal, within a range, if we crashed out the pound would plummet against Euro and Dollar, Euro against dollar etc without beginning to explore the changing legislative landscape.
Everyone is frozen, waiting for a sign.
