Spid,

Judging by all the PR releases by FGR they are starting the roadshow process in London. I see one of their main reasons for listing was "access to capital" and to list on AIM you have to have at least cash for a year.

You may or may not know Allenby(like quite a few brokers) are not known for their prowess in raising funds.

In the 2 issues they have some since June they have been done at quite big discounts to the market.

Access Intelligence raised funds at 47.5p against a market price prior of around 63p whilst the recent Gfinity placing was done at 8p having been trading at 12.25p just beforehand.

I guess WG has probably got the European investor(or someone else) lined up as a cornerstone or else, in the current market environment,the local UK insti's will demand a reasonable discount as the shares are illiquid in the Aussie market.

Any thoughts?

@jointer13 you really think the sorts of multi-national companies like Ford motors would buy Nanene over say PureGRAPH because they like the branding? These guys aren't housewives/househusbands buying washing up liquid!

-----------
I reckon neill called our superior product nanene to differentiate it to all the inferior graphene out there.

nanene = the brand.

Is it not possible to get rid of the top posts bloc under the header. It seems anyone who is filtered can inveigle their way onto it against the wishes of most contributors. Maybe we should all just vote their (unread) messages down. Would this help?

@SuperG can't ban blue posters like me so he tries to intimidate me by posting stories of death threats and trying to pretend the authorities are going prosecute me for having an opinion different to him. Others simply swear at me.

The problem they all have is that they can't justify the market cap here relative to the peer group. Market's are weighing machines in the longer term. VRS will trade inline with them soon enough. The graphene part of VRS is worth at most 15p/share in my opinion for it to trade inline with its peer group.

Production of graphene to be in all countries close to manufacturer who gets in first, starting in China many times. Do you want a list .... ;-)

Think loomis poddy neill said reusuable +nanene/plastic bottle would be one of the areas to be looked at first ? Obviously handy if, like germany, deposit plastic bottle scheme in place.

How many electric car battery diaphragms can you make from a ton of nanene?

@spid how can VRS sell hundreds of tonnes when it will only produce 3t per year AFTER scale up next year?

As you point out other companies are much further ahead in scale up. How will they ever catch up. There's only a small window of opportunity as I see it.

@luckyOrange,

I think you will find the other one is a little more advanced than what you think. It will only take one sales agreement to get that one moving, we have already seen how VRS has had a 1000% return, IMO the other company is much better investment. At the end of the day, it all depend on sales.

None of us are going to make any money if we are only selling a few kg's or a few grams of graphene, we need graphene to be widely adopted and selling 100's to tonnes.

RTJ - 2022 for a complete shift in behaviour is a tall order although totally desirable. I have noticed more people at coffee shops using their own cups although there is clearly a long long way to go. It would help if the coffee shops sold the mugs at cost rather than view them as another profitable sale - after all they are getting free publicity from the branding and encouraging customer loyalty

Luxus who VRS partner with to create graphene enhanced polymer supply chain use both prime and recycled plastics - sure the research at the Warwick Manufacturing Group will cover both types so yes Lovat a nice tailwind

Lovat, if we've not switched over to bioplastics by 2022 I fear the whole planetary ecosystem will be banjaxed anyway! I really don't see £VRS's future in #singleuseplastic, I hope we get to make genuinely durable lightweight plastics that encourage people to reuse rather than recycle. Which may mean the industry isn't quite as profitable as some may project, but I'd rather have less plastic in fish, water, our stools, etc... very disappointed though not surprised by the lack of a coffee cup tax in this budget - it could have been a great gimmick for Versarien's more heat-insulatory second-generation 2D materials.

LuckyO. I thought it was said on a poddy at the time of peter jays appn, that pj would be dealing with china on day to day basis and matt's attention would turn to usa ? Obviously matt being more senior (re dit) has probably ultimate responsibilty for china/strategy ? If i've got the wrong end of the stick, apologies in advance. Anyone else know ? Best ellis

From yesterday’s budget:

In order to reduce the problem of environmentally harmful plastic packaging and to incentivise manufacturers to use recycled plastic, the Government will introduce a tax on the production and import of plastic packaging from April 2022. Subject to consultation, this tax will apply to plastic packaging that does not contain at least 30% recycled plastic to transform financial incentives for manufacturers to produce more sustainable packaging.

It may be in the small print but you would hope that if a manufacturer uses graphene to reduce the overall use of plastic that it would be exempt from the tax. Maybe graphene works brilliantly with recycled plastics?

Matt has until 2022 to lobby!
