08/10/2018 19:00 | Thanks for sharing ... sums up current situation without standards nicely! | ![]() mikebrenner
08/10/2018 19:00 | Standard methods that can be found in research laboratories around the world: - Atomic force microscopy (AFM) measures the thickness of graphene stacks. - Optical microscopy provides us with the flake size. - Raman spectroscopy provides information on the structural integrity of the sample as well as indicates the presence of GO and/or rGO. - X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) measures the carbon content (purity). - Scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy providing the Supporting Information on the sample morphology. 08/10/2018 18:50 | Matt Walker @MattWal79512221 1h 1 hour ago More It depends on how you measure 'close'. I cannot be specific publicly, but if close means signing a deal, then we could honestly sign something tomorrow, no problem at all; but it wouldn't be right unless everything was perfect for the future of the company and our fab investors. Matt Walker @MattWal79512221 34m 34 minutes ago More Replying to @Sonnyji88802602 @neillricketts @PeterJVRS Progressing royally on a number of things China and non-China related and on aspects that go 100 miles beyond the present.... which is my whole point - timing is an important concern, yes, but 'present time' is being balanced against 'aspiration'. | moonwizz

08/10/2018 18:42 | Evening all, topped up twice this morning but hay ho still getting as many as l can afford, pray what is the post or article everyone is talking about. Ps, nice to put a face to you superg, but they really need to put out some contract news or this is just going to keep on going south have a good evening all. | ![]() wuzy
08/10/2018 18:41 | The Chinese are obviously playing for overly good terms and VRS sticking to their guns. This means the contracts are written and ready to sign. We have 30 different partners that can sign. One of them will and then they all will. Then we sit back eating chips AND rice. | ![]() 1crackupboom
08/10/2018 18:41 | Of course, in the supplementary report pdf re 'fake graphene' article, the use of Raman Spectroscopy by the authors cites previous research undertaken under reference number (8) "Raman Spectrum of Graphene and Graphene Layers" A. C. Ferrari, J. C. Meyer, V. Scardaci, C. Casiraghi, M. Lazzeri, F. Mauri, S. Piscanec, D. Jiang, K. S. Novoselov, S. Roth, and A. K. GeimPhys. Rev. Lett. 97, 187401 – Published 30 October 2006 Which as you will note refers to research done by our prof ferrari (now cambridge graphene) et al in the use of raman spectroscopy to characterise graphene. This refers to the conclusion prof ferrari et al made :- "In conclusion, graphene’s electronic structure is uniquely captured in its Raman spectrum, that clearly evolves with the number of layers. Raman fingerprints for single-, bilayer, and few-layer graphene reflect changes in the electronic structure and electron-phonon interactions and allow unambiguous, high-throughput, nondestructive identification of graphene layers." And here is the link to prof ferraris research: click on 'view at acudemia.com' to link to the pdf: So as a layman, it seems identifying upto few layers of graphene using raman spectroscopy is acceptable practice. 08/10/2018 18:32 | Good tweet sonnyjim. Looks like we are edging closer to a deal in China:) | anotherdrink
08/10/2018 18:28 | They say they COULD do a deal now, but not on the terms they want. This means a deal won't be done UNTIL those terms are agreed. This is different to saying a deal WILL be done. Understand? If you said a deal looks likely then I agree | ![]() sonsonnyjim
08/10/2018 18:26 | They have. They said they could have signed a deal already. They are being picky. Have you gone short? | ![]() 1crackupboom
