Don't panic if all else fails and you have to walk, Cheltenham isn't the bronx and you have some paper folding skills guys with you lol.

In any case I was thinking of pickled eggs and lemonade only to act as a taxi if needed.

I can't see that taxis are an issue, other than the Set may be a no go area. Taxi drivers fear that any passenger may start talking about shares and they will fall sleep at the wheel.

Just don't mention you need picking up there just give the street name.

elliss not a big deal for investment funds. A backend SQL Server, some trading APIs to hook to platforms, some known formulae, some tweaked formulae, powerful machine(s) and you're up. Alas, too much to do at home as PIs.

I created stock screening in googlesheets using some known formulae, but it keeps crashing as consumes lot of CPU and memory (despite good desktop). Nothing to worry atm as all in VRS. May be for another day.

Re funds; if it's just a numbers game, and managed by AI, it's a very efficient numbers game ! If that's possible. Best ellis

never understood why planes weren't hybrid electric, with solar panels on the body and wings. During the day they fly above the clouds, *where there is guaranteed perpetual sunlight*!

My guess is The Buyer has nearly finished his eggs and toast, should see a rise to 190 soon. Just imo, best wishes. Happy to hold regardless. Gravy

An interesting read and another story where Graphene could play a huge part in years to come. IMO

Campbed, I'd like to join the buffet if it's not too late, I'll message you.

No pain here dreamy, several hundred thousand in profit if you're interested. It's just a real shame AIM has made people like you so cynical which means you will let opportunities such as VRS pass you by and all you can do is try and make some beer money by trying to short it. Just imagine how much money you could have made if you'd got in here at 12p, I think that must really hurt you and your colleagues not that you would ever admit it! Anyway not too late to go long, great entry point at the moment. Good luck x

"quarter end near"

sure, I get that: but the AGM is 25th, so still time to sell before quarter-end, hopefully after some good news at/before the AGM (or both)...

Club,
Funds that are well in profit only look at the figures and their bonus, (and the need to hold adequate cash for redemptions).

They have been doing it all the way up, and the spike to 190 was an obvious opportunity for them to look good.

But - as they say - they can only sell once.

Best wishes Spike

Then adding to that as it drops buyers that sold and traders on the charts line up to buy and that causes the to think it's time to exit. Shorts closing are buyers.

So you end up with chart guys and shorters trying to buy at the same time, then add in the normal PI buyers and those watching on.

Club, like someone said, quarter end near and it is important for funds to show numbers by trimming over grown. They are ruthless when it comes to profits unlike us who don't wanna play dump money and become #VRSFamily.

ps

16% of clients short. That's literally the number of clients it does not means 16% of shares short.

It was 12% - 14% a lot lower down and really did change much on the climb so 180 and so on helped them average up.

Some will still have shorts open from 70p ish.

In the same way long investors average down shorts average up. The difference being goods news is 99.9% likely to come and bad news .1%.

Shorts are not long term investors and have far more to be nervous about when to close than longs.

Sadly I think the shorts combined are not big numbers. EG less than many single PIs have long. So while the churn will be useful as they are guaranteed buyers it's not millions of shares waiting to buy. That would be crazy in any case, too high a risk for them re hitting major news.
