Fuji, I imagine it will be extremely temperature resistant but not if there's oxygen around. Ultra-high temperature furnaces operating in vacuum or non-oxidising atmospheres (>2,000 deg C) use graphite refractory linings but if there's any oxygen around you can apply coatings but they have limited use and people tend to use oxide materials.

There's roughly 50% more buys than sells at the moment, does that mean the MM's have a pocket of shares to sell if no-one else is?

The expectation i'm focused on is where neill said his ambition is to build 'a substantial company!' To my mind some great foundations in place thus far, great positioning in this new industry, all to play for. i'm keeping optimistic. Certainly squire was earlier today ! ;) aimo. Glalth. Best ellis.

Turbo - Depending on how many fingers one has, it'll be difficult to hold all the pies with each available finger. Easier to have or rather say, plunge, one finger in each pie though.

I've just read a quote from the GEIC page that I had previously missed....... I was very impressed by the scale and vision of what Manchester is trying to achieve. The key for companies like BAE Systems, who will be long-term users of graphene, is the capability to move quickly, and the GEIC will allow the University to do that.Steve Harris / Head Of University Collaboration, BAE Systems

Following the numerous collaboration deals signed, the next news will certainly include contract deals. It takes a few months for trials on prototypes to be finalised. So I am expecting an avalanche of new collaboration + contract deals to be announced by Christmas. In parallel, progress in ink and battery technologies could take a major step forward. We are dealing with a company with a finger in every pie.

V true club, in the right circumstances ie a 'normal industry.' The numerous firms, some major, are engaging with vrs on their potential to add value to their products. This is the promise investors have presently, that vrs will succeed. We are in vrs early doors in an emerging industry ; hopefully plenty more to come. Aimo. Best ellis

Think laterally: the longer it takes to trial Nanene and graphinks, the more it suggests (IMO) that when the sales contract is signed, it will be sticky. Why will they want to trial another graphene unless it is very much cheaper (and there may of course be a reason for that ;0)

As Neill has said, wherever possible he wants the product to clearly indicate that it is '+Nanene' inside.

I believe that given the amount of 'rubbish' out there, companies will want +Nanene in the same why as they wanted Gortex (for example).

Best wishes - Spike

ash - yes, from memory my first purchase was Sep or Oct of last year. Fest suggested I take a look at VRS, so I have him to thank.

No denying the huge progress we've made since then - but at the end of the day the company needs to sell materials, take in revenues and make profits. Changing the world for the better - for example with filters to make seawater drinkable - is an added bonus...

Indeed. To my mind, this 2D industry is being formalised and then reasonably we can expect greater commercialisation. The wrong deals in haste would crash the share price and be a shorters dream. That's why the team are at pains to reassure only the 'right deals' will be landed. This credibility gives confidence to investors. For all we know a good order rns could land tomr, next week, or next quarter. Who knows? What we can say, is the neill and co have done a great job so far to position vrs where are. The opportunities look there for the taking. The rest will follow due course. Aimo. Best ellis.

Have patience.

"All I’m saying is, solid news on revenues, expansion or joint ventures will take it into a whole new stratosphere."

which is why we're all gagging for precisely that to happen...

The share price is where it is because some entity, or multiple entities have bought large amounts of shares to lift it away from each consolidation point. Why they have bought at these points is another matter. The strength of it it is breathtaking, and I presume that they know more than me.All I'm saying is, solid news on revenues, expansion or joint ventures will take it into a whole new stratosphere. That's why I'm not selling.... because 'they' know.

The recent share price increase has been great, however I believe that the price is still in anticipatory mode. If/when validation comes via a major order from a blue chip and investors have that reassurance, the share price will fly imo.
