06/9/2018 07:57 | Watching bbc breakfast right now ; discussion on wind power. 'We've got some of best wind conditions in the world on irish and north seas.' Massive wind turbines coming on stream ; wonder what nanene could do for such structures ? Lots of potential i imagine. Best ellis | ![]() ellissj
06/9/2018 07:52 | I've been rather low key re the bits I heard. Two said the same thing and I checked it with the VRS source to make sure he wasn't being misquoted. As I say it's all in news but when you hear it specifically stated in just one or two lines it tends to sharpen the senses a bit. It was long day yesterday but I have it in my head that 24 in China is now up to something like 36. Can anyone else confirm that? | ![]() superg1
06/9/2018 07:51 | Great posts Shavion! Many thanks for the feedback it was very helpful and encouraging. | ![]() ridicule
06/9/2018 07:51 | Excellent write up Shavian, at the moment I am more excited about AECOM than China. USA accreditation can not come soon enough. Thanks SG, I always enjoy reading your wise comments, wrapped in a little humour. It looks as though events are moving along at a pace and I trust the share price will rise over the coming months. Must get some of those headphones in my Christmas stocking. | ![]() rogerbridge
06/9/2018 07:47 | So many thanks to all of you for yesterday’s feedback Great to be part of the journey Off to the Rockies for a few weeks so going to miss the AGM as well ! Have fun second guessing | ![]() iain dick
06/9/2018 07:46 | That is right Ian, ISO is only relevant to those who don't/can't meet the standards. | ![]() luckyorange

06/9/2018 07:44 | Great insight super. Vrs are indeed a different animal. Glad to be in here and grateful. Best ellis | ![]() ellissj
06/9/2018 07:43 | If US and U.K. accreditation processes come out and they're robust enough for companies to be confident placing orders off the back of ISO will be irrelevant anyway except as a formality. | ![]() club sandwich
06/9/2018 07:43 | Club - think it's reasonable too. Will bring it up (politely) at the AGM if the collab updates don't happen | ![]() sonsonnyjim
06/9/2018 07:37 | Never been convinced that the ISO would be quick, too much money to be lost by those spreading b/s and living off the proceeds, wouldn't be surprised if it takes a couple more years. | ![]() luckyorange
06/9/2018 07:36 | Ayl Certain posters are that way on ADVFN. Those that are probably look to trade on the back of news. The odd one or two may have timelines to sell etc not necessarily under their control. Great to meet a range of investors and good to talk to Mike B re his approach to research on AIM companies. We see eye to eye on that. My route is treat them as a fraud until proved otherwise. However with VRS I had a chat with NR early on and knew instantly there there was no BS involved. Anyone that meets the team knows that and should know by now this is an entirely different AIM company to the norm. A whole different approach to openness and embracing investors. | ![]() superg1

06/9/2018 07:34 | Yes, not much talk about China, and none specifically about Jinan came my way. That’s still very much ‘work in progress’, and Peter Jay has only just arrived in post. Peter is a very bright spark and has crammed a lot into his 30 years. Itching to get going, I noted. Matt was interesting on how these secondments came to pass. UKGov clearly sees graphene as a area to showcase British technology and export potential. The DIT is much bigger than I realised. They have 100 people on the ground in China for example and work closely with the FCO on the political front. Matt was head of Overseas Direct Investment (ODI) and wrote the business case for seconding himself to VRS as his department has sussed that VRS was the only game in town to deserve such ground-breaking support. Once he got into post he realised that there was so much to be done that he needed more support, on China in particular. Knowing Peter’s skill sets, mandarin-speaking in particular, he managed to persuade the Minister to let him come too. None of this has happened before. | ![]() shavian
06/9/2018 07:34 | Shavian - quite. Faced with a room full of investors the natural tendency is towards the bullish. But do that too often (and NR hasn't) and credibility suffers. What we need is for the massive potential to start being realised. By year-end I'm hoping for China and/or a significant order and/or ISO and/or US accreditation. The one certainty seems to be there will be more collabs - but at the moment each new one begs the question: why have none of the previous ones - big or small, lumbering corporates or allegedly-nimble start-ups - actually put their hands in their pocket and bought any nanene yet? It's a perfectly reasonable question to ask. | ![]() club sandwich
06/9/2018 07:33 | Given the iso is delayed the next best thing is a credible local testing, accreditation and certification service based upon those standards. Ie as announced in USA and UK. The USA service looks aligned with iso and vrs were inaugral firm invited to test nanene. As i've suggested, if nanene is successfully accredited, to my mind vrs will be acknowledged as the world leader. Given this scenario, iso can take as long as it likes ! Aimo. Dyor. 06/9/2018 07:28 | Shavian, thanks. Everyone should reread no 3 - stop being obsessed by daily rns.I couldn't make golf day as tied up, glad you all enjoyed yourselves | ![]() ayl30
06/9/2018 07:26 | I don't like to ask many questions but then couldn't talk about the golf much either as David Kerr doesn't seem to know how to play it. Just joking but he had 'one of those rounds' that I've been having recently, great banter along the way. AECOM did get a mention as some were supposed to be there and yes from me on that topic too it seems that could be very big and potentially quickly from the little bits said. As for the line about things to come, yes I heard that too, hence my enthused comments. I did double check it. As said it's in news we just don't soak it up and thus it seems potentially there could be some things that do make now feel ordinary. | ![]() superg1

06/9/2018 07:20 | He is human Ian, not a robot and was probably given that impression and excited about the prospect. That has been corrected by the US Quality tests, we live in an imperfect world where black and white isn't black and white. | ![]() luckyorange
06/9/2018 07:17 | Shavian, thanks. As for NR timelines - there was also the jinan deal which wasn't explained and collaboration updates which haven't happened yet | ![]() sonsonnyjim
06/9/2018 07:15 | Good write up Shavian thanks | ![]() haz101 |
