24/8/2018 10:26 | Why are people selling (apart obviously from traders)? IMO we know why! (but I'm no expert): There is one or more II who uses the increasing price as an opportunity to bank a profit, they have been doing it for months and yet the price keeps rising, and - importantly - their pot gets smaller and smaller. They are not in a rush to sell, just taking profit from time to time, in part to keep their portfolio balance in check (as VRS goes up) and part so the fund manager can look good making money. We need to always remember funds clients usually make choices based on record (why wouldn't they) not on possible future potential, given the clients won't have a clue who or what VRS is, it's just another name on the funds list. Anyway certainly nothing to worry about as far as I'm concerned. If they are not finished by the time we get to a China deal, that should finish them off on high volume. Best wishes - Spike | ![]() spike_1
24/8/2018 10:25 | First share I ever bought was Psion, in the early 90s. I bought £1k's worth, sold a few months later for a 20% profit, felt very pleased with myself. At the peak of the .com/tech boom of the late 90s that £1k would have been worth £70k. Still, never wrong to take a profit, right? ;-) I've spent my entire investing career looking for the next multi-bagger like that, and in VRS I think I've found it. Forget ASOS, ARM, CISCO, Fevertree, this is going to outbag them all... ;-) | ![]() club sandwich
24/8/2018 10:24 | Good volume day, and churn, not surprising given the news this week. with Construction focus, +nanene and graphinks giving new market opportunities. Plenty for buyers to get excited about. Great markets to crack. Aimo. Best ellis | ![]() ellissj
24/8/2018 10:16 | 1savvy re your post "I had a million but sold out! Muppet!" As I recall you were getting a little edgy earlier this year. I'm guessing you made a good profit considering the share price rise over time. So not a muppet really you just did what you thought as the right thing to do at the time. Any profit is the right thing to do so you were in fact savvy and not a muppet. You made a decision and stuck with it. Many on ADVFN seem to struggle with decision making. I knew VRS got on well with the DIT as the DIT were taking VRS into Asia and the like as per tweets at the time. However I never imagined DIT guys would become part of VRS, not in my wildest dreams. The next impossible event approaching seems to be Chris Leigh not having the best score on the golf day judging by DKs comments. | ![]() superg1
