19/7/2018 08:59 | I'm hoping the 3 tonnes gets a mention in any podcast but judging by the current guy he isn't the sharpest tool in the box for interviews. About as sharp as a melted crayon. | ![]() superg1
19/7/2018 08:57 | 24 Chinese cities to negotiate with, nearly a Brexit number with NR holding the Trump card. We know how hard 27-1 has been, 1-24, that’s Putin him in a very strong table position. | ![]() fireball xl5
19/7/2018 08:57 | Anley The way the MMs played it you can more or less guarantee it. Many sounding off about not being able to get the price they took it too. All obvious when they collected cheap shares on a false drop. As we known many of them other than Singer were struggling to get hold of stock. | ![]() superg1
19/7/2018 08:56 | Can't wait to see delayed trades from 8am | ![]() luckykids
19/7/2018 08:52 | As before keep an eye on Singer I'll post more re them later (when it calms down a bit) on what happened yesterday re stock they had. Singer are not on the offer at the moment, they are on the bid. | ![]() superg1
19/7/2018 08:51 | I wonder if the funds who have been buying are or have been in the market so far this morning? One of the small Cambridge funds has....... | anley
19/7/2018 08:49 | These results reassure me that day to day NR truly does live by the principle of transparency and keeping shareholders informed (as best he's allowed). These results have no surprises (except maybe 3 t!) and no shocks, just solidly supports what lth's kinda knew. He also tends to underplay his hand. In my opinion he and his team are doing a brilliant job, our investment couldn't be in safer hands. | jtskinner
19/7/2018 08:46 | 3 tonnes capacity in perspective: If theoretical volume of monolayer graphene sheet per tonne is 38,000 barrels (as stated by NR), 3 tonne capacity is 114,000 barrels. Barrels vary in size across different industries, but when used in casual conversation worldwide the presumption is usually an oil barrel, defined as 42 US gallons, which is about 159 litres or 35 imperial gallons. So 114,000 barrels = 4,788,000 US gallons 3,990,000 imperial gallons roughly 18,126,000 litres (18,126 cubic metres)(23,708 cubic yards) Bear in mind that ton and tonne are not quite the same - and that even the ton comes in two versions, the imperial one (2240 pounds) and the smaller US one (2000 pounds). The tonne is 1000kg (2204.6 pounds). Football pitches (so often used casually when comparing areas) vary in size. The smallest formally allowed is 50yds x 100yds (5000 square yards). In which case 3 tonnes of graphene in packs of one cubic yard would cover 4.7416 football pitches. PS: Can someone here photoshop together an image of 114,000 oil barrels? PPS: Bear in mind that the tonnage NR refers to may be GNPs and other forms, not single layer sheet. PPPS: This is a fun calculation, so don't bother telling me that I am a tiddly percentage out somewhere. But do tell me if there's a whopping big error and I'll correct it ;-) | ![]() grabster
19/7/2018 08:46 | potsol 1kg £100k It all depends on the size of orders and the end use. That is the key for VRS and why I invested. When they bought that plastics factory and made the comments I then knew the costs matrix was viable for various products. Why would a big name be trialling it in plastic bottles if it wasn't viable. | ![]() superg1
19/7/2018 08:46 | Festario19 Jul '18 - 08:37 - 21880 of 21883 0 1 0 "You know I like to test limits and do a lot of test buys and sells. Today just goes to show how downright crooked the MM’s are, and how difficult it is for a PI to ever make money." MMs are no different to us all. They try to buy and then sell at a profit. The simple answer is surely to buy and sell when the price is right for you and not worry about price movements within a period of a few minutes. | ![]() impvesta
19/7/2018 08:45 | I guess I didn't do so badly with my 4600-odd at 115p then Fest - as Paul Scott says, sometimes it pays to buy the number you want on the way down at a good price rather than waiting for the bottom and the best price when you can't actually buy. | ![]() runthejoules

19/7/2018 08:42 | Mick, superg1 will confirm, but I think 1g was sold to McLaren for £100k. However, Neill has stated before now that the price per volume quoted does vary on a case by case basis. Nethertheless, it would still be a groundbreaking sum IMO. | potsol
19/7/2018 08:41 | That's the point.I wasn't intending to sell and buy back. But if I HAD have pressed the button at any time, I could only have lost money. | ![]() festario

19/7/2018 08:37 | You know I like to test limits and do a lot of test buys and sells.Today just goes to show how downright crooked the MM's are, and how difficult it is for a PI to ever make money. At 8.01am they would only let me sell 15k shares maximum, for 118p.At 8.03p that was changed to selling 35k shares at 110p.But.... I could only ever buy 2k shares, for 120p. | ![]() festario
