Imminent is perhaps a slurring of "in a minute" and as anyone who is a parent will know, "in a minute" is an undisclosed period of time known only to the parent :-)

Oxford dictionary defines 'imminent' as 'about to happen'.

Imminent was a word I believe NR used about ISO certification - and also about the China jv detail.

Can't recall the dates on which he said "imminent". But whatever was imminent then is presumably more imminent now?

Thanks sandbag. Will await any further adjustments before editing! Three languages to reconcile is potentially a much more difficult task than two!

hew,

Possibly three languages - English for the British, Mandarin for the Mainland Chinese and possibly Cantonese for the Hong Kong company.

January RNS + 2 Governments (High level) + 2 x Govt. advisory/local/operating agencies + 3 Chinese Parties + VRS + 2 negotiating teams + 2 legal/documenting teams + 2 languages + top level UK politicos (Brexit/international aspects) = some complexities + feedback loops + delays but >>> 50% probability of successful deal.
IMO

Interesting discussions. Still waiting for my entry, but think high 50's might be appropriate for a part purchase, and then wait for 2nd tranche. I laugh when I read about the company needing to put out an announcement on how China negotiations are going. There will be commentary in the next results announcement, or if any material change before then i.e. negotiations result in an agreement or are terminated. Otherwise, the announcement could simply be: "We are still in negotiations" - probably a waste of time me thinks. These things take time and I would have been worried about how many points VRS conceded on to have got it done by now. At some point, the fast money will have left, the share price will stabilize, and some more patient investors will likely reap the rewards. AIMHO

Clown,

Has it not been made clear to you NR is only worried about where the share price is in 3-5 years. Not where it is this time tomorrow.

In fact I'm sure he would prefer to be rid of short term traders in his company.

No need to put out a China update as I'm sure nothing has changed from the Investor Day.

WILLIOC, nail on the head. It is quite obvious to anyone with any common sense that most of these collabs will take some time, to turn into orders, however many on this board are not blessed with that or any business sense, hence the groundhog day nature of "why oh why hasn't the China deal been signed", or "Continental are a multi billion £ company so why won't they throw a paltry 600T order VRS' way tomorrow?!".

Some deluded guy who apparently runs a FTSE 250 company (that made me chuckle) and spends much of his time here or on Twitter, thinks that he'd have all these deals signed up within a month, because he's an ace negotiator...as I said deluded...the chaps in the white coats are probably en route, padded walls for him ;)

adejuk - well I don't think I've ever been in a company before that had signed so many big names or that had *such* potential.

Of course the declining share price is annoying - and I'm sure I'm not the only one taking stick from my wife (who bought at 85p) - but I'll ask again: what should the company be doing that they're not?

The only thing I can think of is an update on how the China negotiations are going...

Don't lose sight of the enormity of the UK and China deal that has been described as soon providing the biggest capacity in the world for graphene. It's potential is too big for the JV to miss.

fact is that this is, at the mo, a typical aim dog. we all know the promise and the paradigm changing possibilities, but there are thousands of pi holding and afraid to sell, as it keeps declining, because of the expectations of company and sp, tranforming news that could arrive at any moment and nobody wants to be out then.
how many of us have been here before?

Willoicc is quite correct. It will take time for testing and appraising products. However you can be sure that anyone carrying out the tests will do it in the absolute minimum time necessary. They'll want to beat their competitors to market. Just relax and all will become good.

"How many people go to work and finalise all projects that day.

I bet any that do are no longer employed."

well they're certainly unemployed if they say they'll deliver something in record time and then don't... ;-)

I guess the question is: *which* record...?

Adjuk. Good luck with any such strategy, because as it stands it's impossible to sell even 500 paltry shares. Shocking.
