01/4/2017 06:53 | What is the downside at this point? Need to look at the current share price first, which the consensus is that it is a fairly safe investment at 22.5p with plenty of upside should everything fall into place. Underpinned by AAC, TC which should be profit making and a FO who has a very keen eye on the finances . The recent fundraising ensured that they have enough money in the pot to react to market needs and prior to that they had enough in the kitty to keep them on track for a couple of years so no fundraising due. 2D Tech no RNS'd orders for graphene at present so maybe they are ticking over supplying sample quantities? Staffing very lean including the BOD so no large drain financially. Downside, expensive so companies reluctant to order and will not do so until price comes down? Cambridge Graphene, recent fundraising ensured that they have the equipment that they require to commercialise, water based ink that they can produce cheaper than current options. Downside , a competitor finds a more straightforward method that costs less? Copper foam, no information , no orders? Fire at factory (hopefully not!) it happened at AAC some years ago so hopefully they are on the ball there with their checks and procedures. Feel free to add to the downside, just some very brief thoughts. | luckyorange
01/4/2017 06:17 | How to make graphene oxide. Not an April fool but well worth watching to show how difficult it can be and how dangerous. At any point in the process if you get the temperature wrong it blows up, he makes it then tells you at 18 minutes the danger points. GO is nasty stuff to make. | luckyorange
31/3/2017 20:41 | That is definitely a downside (or backside maybe?) | luckyorange
31/3/2017 20:38 | Self explanatory really An aromatic saddle was designed from the hypothetical three-dimensional graphene with the negative Gaussian curvature (Schwarzite P192). Two aromatic saddles, tetrabenzo[8]circule | superg1
31/3/2017 20:35 | See "Graphene is the answer" | superg1
31/3/2017 20:34 | Here you go Tetrabenzo[8]circule | superg1
31/3/2017 20:17 | Yes there is sadddles for AGM which is what I keep trying to drop heavy hints about. Don't confuse VRS and it's team as lifestyle or hype punters. Rather boringly they are trying to build a real business based on some exciting tech. I sometimes wish they would do what others do but NDAs generally prevent such things. So I consider such companies are talking BS as the companies they talk of would prevent that through an NDA and to mention them would scupper a deal. Of course if you have no NDA then you can mention who you like. | superg1
31/3/2017 19:26 | Read a lot of optimistic comments on Versarien. Does'nt seem to be many pessimists about. Is there a downside looming? | sadddles
31/3/2017 19:14 | hxxp://losangeleshig : Sell | hornsby1
31/3/2017 15:09 | I asked that one Serratia and due to the low loadings it was still transparent hence I'm working on .1% and lower. I know the key fob was black at .5% so perhaps .1% is too high. I just need to look it up, I've been busy today so haven't had time. | superg1
31/3/2017 10:17 | When you add Graphene to composites the end products I've seen are black, wouldn't that be a problem for food films or is the loading so low the film is still transparent ? | serratia
31/3/2017 09:19 | thanks abergele - I suspected as much ;0) | spike_1
31/3/2017 09:15 | My buy shows as a sell, don't be fooled.22.355p was a buy..gla | abergele
31/3/2017 09:05 | Packaging Wasn't there a packaging guy poster here? .1% loadings at £10 per gram means a penny in graphene for the package I was on about. But then I see one report talks of a .001% loading making a 17% difference but I don't know what type of GNPs were used (EG few layer multi). .001% would be 1/100th of a penny at £10 per gram or 1/10th of a penny at .01%. You can take the price to £100 per gram to get it back to 1p in the .01% loading case. With Unilever chatting at IDTECHEX on the topic and having trialled the Cambridge ink via that interactive ad (I assume Novalia) then Unilever are obviously looking at it. Then add in the current trial in play at Cambridge where once again the experiment talks about Unilever and graphene food sensors which Imo would be Cambridge ink related. I'll have to find some decent food packaging loadings comments out there to get an idea of likely costs and viability. | superg1
31/3/2017 08:29 | You know I know that one. | superg1
31/3/2017 08:15 | May I suggest an April 1st competition to suggest the weirdest or most ludicrous possible application for graphene? Real or imaginary, does not matter. Here's my entry:"Chinese scientists mixed graphene particles with mulberry leaves and fed these to some silk worms. Over the following week the worms spun 30 metres of graphene wire which could be woven into an impenetrable bullet-proof material. No silkworms were harmed in the process of this experiment."True or false? | shavian
31/3/2017 08:04 | Sound likes he needs some lead in his pencil :-) BTW Simon is the guy throwing his all into trying to deal with that Elektron CEO twit who is shafting investors and filling his boots each year on salary and bonuses. | superg1
31/3/2017 07:51 | I like the post too! Although not quite April 1st. | spike_1
31/3/2017 06:36 | :-) April 1st , like it lol. | luckyorange
30/3/2017 23:12 | What a stupid post. | serratia
30/3/2017 22:56 | superg1 I wonder if you could assist with a question. If graphene could be incorporated somehow in Viagra would it assist in a better erection or would there be some concern over its graphene toxicity. As you seemed to be well clued up on the usefulness of graphene I thought you may have considered this benefit? One problem with the incorporation into a Viagra tablet is the strength of the graphene may make the tablet difficult to swallow and digest. It certainly could not be chewed due to its strength but is graphene capable of dissolving with saliva? The other possible side effect is ending up with stiff legs and or even a stiff neck. The next time you are in communication with Neil could you please query my request. Thanks. | simon templar qc |
