Hi, I chanced across this charade as I'm in the business and markets Virditek claim to be in. Clearly this looks a little volatile with the chance of a temporary blip but an ultimate demise when auditors have to wind it up and it public valuation is attested to be worthless. With this in mind, how are people buying and selling this stock cheaply on margin and ultimately shorting to its obvious zero net sum, can anyone recommend a spread betting company for example with a liquid offering to take advantage of the obvious please?

Fair point hidden. It depends on your investment strategy and I guess we all know that Verditek is a bit of a punt and long term.

ddt - maybe half of my shares go down at least 50%. But if the analysis is good, most of them come right in the end.I've made a good living from investing for a quarter of a century now. So there are different approaches which can work. I experimented with stop losses for a while but they took me out of too many excellent long term performers so I stopped using them.Horses for courses, I guess!

Naplion with a bit a tail wind you should earn your losses back by mid of next year. Always work with stop losses though; you should never get yourself into a 50pc down position

One would think/hope there is something tangible behind the rise, an order or two perchance!

It does look like this move has got legs, 5p would be deffo break out point, perhaps a tad less but 5p for sure, imo.

Moving nicely.

AV - what's your break out point?

From the AR'Our factory now has proven production capability and has a potential capacity of producing over 80MW of panels per annum.'80MW must be the sort of target they are aiming for and , imo, they ain't going to get there with small orders, even a decent size bunch of small orders ain't going to make much dent in 80MW.

GardenerYou could well be right. But as dubois has said, at this point it's all guesswork. We need something from the company. I think a trading statement came early this year, so perhaps a few more months to wait for a TU.You'd think if they had something decent to say, they would say it. All we've had of any note is £300k of stock went walkies with a promise to update the market. We're still waiting for that particular update.

I thought previously stated break even point was 8-9MW. Don't forget any single order will be for several panels. It would be rare to receive many single panel orders. I think with all the trade fair exposure and expanding network of distributors that there will be a healthy supply of orders coming through, certainly from Spring 2022.

600,000 in sells in 25 minutes and no change in price? We are all working in the dark on guesswork.

as - You could be right, but it may not be about what Verditek are selling but what others are selling for them. They did say they were looking to more agents and they seem to have got into bed with lots of different people. As far as RNS's are concerned, they do not want to give TW any ammunition. You can argue that if its true then why worry, but I fully appreciate their desire to simply keep well away and if they don't need to RNS, then don't. However, I am disappointed that they are not giving us anything as I'm sure there could be something that would wet our appetite without it being misconstrued.
Only time will tell.

Think they got their fingers burnt so badly that they don't want to over promise on anything.
My take is that the product itself was initially not there either.
But I'm hopeful most major issues are behind them....there must be a huge market for lightweight panels

Re small orders, if that's the way they are going, then fine. What's a panel, 400w or something like. That means they are going to need to sell 2,500 panels for a MW.Can't quite remember from the placing last year what the break even was, 10-15MW?So they might need to shift 25,000 panels a year for break even. That's 500 a week, that's a lot of small orders. It could be the b/even is less as charge more for small quantities but then costs are higher as well. All the above imo, if anyone has got more accurate figures then be good to hear them.Zero news from the company is indicative they ain't selling much.

I agree with you Dubois, re aim of pursuing small repetitive orders. Re cash flow, the £450,000 Inovate UK grant awarded in sept this year will help to some degree re overhead costs over next 18 months. With that project underway from 1 Oct, it will be interesting to see what type of ultra-lightweight portable micro solar enery system Verditek will come up with for rural Africa.
