There has be no news on that front that I'm aware of.Last years AR has to be out by end of next month so we should receive an update over the next few weeks.Given the recent news that Nesbitt is concentrating on the graphene PV development I think it's reasonable to assume all is proceeding to plan.

BUMPSo we got the rns last year on the 18th about the graphene solar cells. Does anyone know if they have managed to optimize it to over 25% efficiency yet?

Yes, agree, wouldn't have been surprised by a bit of a pull back. I guess the m.cap is so low folks happy to fill up at these levels.

Was expecting a bit of a pull back after the rise this week, but not a sign of it, very bullish, vast majority of us holders clearly believe this is going much further.

He does have a lot of followers (9k on twitter) so I think his charts can become self fulfilling. :-)

I know some may disagree but I like the wide spread on these shares. It will put off day traders in it for a quick buck, and there's plenty of that going on at the moment, leaving those of us with a longer term perspective to buy & hold with hopefully a degree of stabilty.

IMHO one of the best Graphene plays in the market. The new CEO is impressive with market pedigree.

Interesting thought, il duce 15.If it was spun out or acquired, what price worlds first graphene PV panels.Price will depend on things like efficiency, manufacturing cost etc.And I assume the deal with Paragraf is probably 50/50.But we have to be talking multiples of the current m.cap, £12.5m, to VDTK.£50m? £100m? Who knows!Wonder how far off a commercial product is, news has been very encouraging to date!

Just goes to show how cheap these are, if they were floated at 9p, they have got to commercialisation of the product with orders, plus the diamond that is the worlds first graphene solar cell (potentially huge) - and after all that, they are less than half the float price of 4p! Crazy.

"Verditek and Paragraf announce the world's first Graphene Integrated PV cell and a new Joint Development Program" (Rns dated 18th June 19)

Not sure the share price has ever reflected this news.

What chance this gets spun out at some stage to unlock the value?

Yes, they raised £2.7m in August 2017. Their advisors must have soaked them as they only received £2m of that £2.7m, that's a shocker!Don't matter now, ofcourse.187m shares back then with a market cap of around £17m.The good news is a lot of the hard work has been done and we're now in a situation to benefit from the last three years of effort.Still cheap as chips!

weywey In the news release they refer to 10MW, that , I assume, is per year. The Italian factory is 20MW per year.I would need more detail on this development as I don't fully understand why we would want to licence the tech to another firm in Europe. Perhaps the financials are compelling, perhaps they are limited to Portugal, I don't know.Clarification required on this one, imo

From the 27 April 2020 Business Update RNS:

"We have signed an agreement with Lux Optimeyes Energy lda of Portugal to develop a lightweight PV panel manufacturing facility at a site in Moura Portugal. The contract comprises a 10-year licensing agreement in addition to the design, supply and installation of a 10 MW/shift PV manufacturing line based on Verditek Technology."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any ideas on when this will be operational?

This has far larger capacity than the Italian factory has it not?

Perhaps some of the buying is confidence that this proposed manufacturing facility will pick up orders.

As we discussed yesterday the graphene solar technology to enable solar powered laptops, phones etc etc would be colossal, make no mistake about it. But as always with this stuff, they need to move quickly cos there will be others trying to copy. I think 10p year end is very conservative, tbh, would mean a market cap of less than 30 million. That's peanuts for the potential this has got.
