Increase in Share Price and Trading Activity


The Board of Venue Solutions acknowledges the recent rise in its share price
and can confirm that the consumer press launch for YourDay Inc at Alton Towers
took place yesterday. The Company is considering calling a General Meeting
pursuant to a letter received from various shareholders requesting a General
Meeting.


The Company can announce that its improved YourDay system is proving
increasingly popular with visitors to Alton Towers, the Staffordshire-based
theme park resort where the system is installed, with 45% increase in sales per
visitor since the park opened in March. For the 2008 season, a personalised
multi-ride DVD is priced at £19.99, a single ride DVD at £8.99 and visitors can
purchase their DVD, which is created in under five minutes, from the on-site
YourDay retail outlet.

I'm only suggesting that news might have leaked / be imminent because the results are (well) overdue...

Happygolucky, a chartist may indicate this as a DCB (Dead Cat Bounce) so be wary until news breaks. Good Luck.

Up from 1.5p to 3.75p in less than a full day of trading - has news etc. been leaked or do the buyers just think the share price has fallen too far too fast??

Wish I'd bought a lot more than 15k yesterday!!

Some steady buying continuing from yesterday. Volumes traded recently have generally not been huge, so it this buying continues then price should move up a few pence very quickly.

happy, I think you got a bargain. I am maxed out on other penny stocks at present otherwise I would have joined you in averaging further down.

Just added another 15,000 at 1.75p - I know averaging down is not always a good idea, but I think in the case of VSH it is worth the risk, especially as the price has fallen so far for no apparent reason. Having said that, it will probably go t*ts up now I've bought some more...

matt, yes, that is a worry. I wondered whether they were holding back to be able to announce something positive on Alton Towers.

The share price is down again today - didn't think it could get much lower.

i'm hopeful that with the credit crunch and strong euro that less people will be going abroad fo their hols and more will be visiting the likes of Alton Towers instead wih increased potential for Your Day sales; i read somewhere (i think the Telegraph) that a lot more people are inquiring about UK hols compared to last year.

I was told by a friend who visited Alton Towers recently that lots of people were wearing the YourDay wristbands. What I didn't get was how many people\ were subsequently buying the DVD. Here's hoping.

If VSH own the intellectual rights to using RFID to track and film people at theme parks why do they try to do the technical stuff too? Why not out source or license it to a company like RCG as a partner?

Been in Oz for a few weeks, so missed the snow here. But not today's hail.

I would presume Alton Towers has had low customer turnout to-date, if so would not expect VSH to say anything yet. Disappointing, but it's still very early in the year and can only hope this year's summer is better than last, and customers who have stayed away from AT have only deferred their visit until better weather.

Trading statement on 11 Jan said annual figures to 30 Nov 07 would be published in March, and would be bad. Does the delay mean that the figures are even worse, and/or that there is no good news to report on any of VSH's activities ?
