Just as I don't understand PRSM's strength, I don't understand BOO's weakness, j.
I'm struggling to find the common denominator 🤔

I'm not selling daughter's ARC holdings, but I wont return unless there is a BTFD opportunity.

Definitely worth a watch, red.
They spin it out a bit, but the personal comments from inside and outside the company are fascinating, and you will be able to put them into the context of the agms!

Afraid I missed it.
A little trip to the southern extremes of Worcestershire for dinner with friends.
Must try catch up TV to find it.
Having gone to several AGM's over the last few years, they presented a united front and nothing looked out of place!!
They say that if you owe the bank £10m then you have a problem, but if you owe them £100m then the bank has a problem:-)

Did you watch the Carillion program last night, red?
Interesting targeting of the previous CFO and praise of the new girl.
I usually like a company headed by an industry expert, but this one seems to have been bullied by the CFO, along with the rest of the board.
His power base was the dreadful consequences of company failure. The regulators wouldn't have hesitated being harsh with a smaller company.
As for KPMG = complicit crooks!

ARC

Operating profit up 54% (25%)
Net cash 3.2 (2.6)

Largely due to a significant increase in tax:
Free cash flow to revenue has halved.
Price to free cash flow at FY end was 18 (8) - currently it is 25.

The usual story about the long lead time for customers predicts the future, with one or two tempting nuggets about current progress.

It's still a gem feeding cash down to the bottom line.

In my opinion the company has not delivered enough of the promise to justify the current share price, compared with FY2017.
Doesn't mean that the fans won't burst into song and drive the share price higher.

Anticipating ARC.

Results due FY to 30 Jun 18 tomorrow.
On 30 June Mkt Cap £9m. Today £15m.
So, it got a fan club over the last couple of months.

Not much revenue growth 15/16/17 - 7.8% FY 2017.
However, very good Operating Profit growth of 22% & 25% 2016 and 2017.
And excellent Free Cash Flow to Revenue growth over the last three years - 17.4%/26.5%/42.2%.
So cash is flowing straight down to the bottom line.

Price to Free Cash Flow at FY2016 and FY2017 was 9 and 8 respectively.
If Free Cash Flow carries on increasing like a train then the price to free cash flow will be about 9 and the current price justified.

So, on the face of it, ARC has been a gem for, at least, the last three years, but has to continue to deliver to justify the valuation increase over the last couple of months.

They should hire licensing auditors to check other firms are not under paying them. Can't really be relying on firm's own internal audit functions to find errors.

You're correct Hydrus.
Last year's was 'ahead of market expectations'. So, I guess they had something to say.
I was thinking that it is t'werly for Siemens news, and hoping that they say nothing - so causing the price to doldrum.

Nice one Hydrus, I thought you had. It's the sensible thing to do. With IQE I could see it being a billion pound co. I can't see a subtitling firm being worth hundreds of millions.

It is a bigger dilemma than then eternal triangle.

At £52 - £53 per share Rsw you don't get many for your bucks, but it does move £1 or so, each way, on a regular basis at the present time.
My buy at £52.41 was well timed. I am hanging on for +£2.00 or better. I had the chance to sell on two occasions for the £1.
Should I trade for the lesser sum, more frequently?
Hmmm........
