Any reason not to include ROCE as a metric ?

Dropped Price/Sales as a metric. Seems more suitable for comparing failing shops!

This is my list of metrics:

Revenue per Employee (£1k)
Operating Profit to Revenue
Cash Outflow from Investing to revenue
Price to Free Cash Flow

Example:
Company Price to Free Cash Flow
BVXP 25
RSW 29
FEVR 77

Anybody got a recommendation that doesn't require red's expertise?

Ahh, don't be like that. Your input is appreciated
You did very well on Prsm, although not my cup of tea, those Following you would have done amazingly well
You may have another winner with INFA which I have taken a punt on
For those in to the TA, take a look at the chart bowl forming

I'll not post about it anymore. Apologies to the regulars for causing a distraction.

Not at all hydrus just a shame to see people miss out on possible profits.

Hydrus, what are you APAD's bodyguard? I think Hazl had a valid point. APAD does come across a pompous know it all with a rather childish need to be top performer, he lives on this thread, boasting about his portfolio, it's his life

That is my philosophy. I buy trading holdings in my portfolio stocks, when I think that they are mis-priced against fair value. Happy to hold if I do get the timing wrong, but equally happy to take a profit.
I don't complain, well not too much, if I sell prematurely. Profit in the pocket and cash on the sidelines for opportunities elsewhere.
At my age, I am not going to continue to sdd to my portfolio, but I can play around with what is there and grow it when the opportunity presents itself.

Hazl of course feel free to post about the companies you like. That's what this board is for. Just don't cry like a toddler if someone says they don't like it and then hold a grudge and make transparently petty comments about their companies to give 'balance' as that just indicates you took it as a personal slight. Anyway moving on, just read a good book in income investing called 'automatic income' by Matthew Poulson. It's clarified some of my thinking around what I'm looking to achieve with new income portfolio. I'd recommend it.

Bailed out of trading stock. Kept 31 shares to add to my holding and £6.21 in change.
A 9.56% return or £364.85.
Leave a bit for the next man.

I'm sorry hydrus but I feel I'm bringing a much needed balance.
These companies don't need tittle-tattle and people's egos to get in the way of solid business.

It's just a CFO retiring, which was previously announced. Hazl please heed the points about being overly sensitive (your post seems to be more evidence of that) because it's getting a bit dull now and this is a board which so far successfully avoids that type of behaviour. Appreciate it if you didn't bring it down.

OOPS Board restructuring? XPD
That was used as a criticism of you for INFA I 've just looked back.
If you had looked into it properly APAD you would have seen that both companies exhibit good reasons for doing so.

Just for fun.

I must admit that I didn't look very closely at
the competition entries, some of which, I confess
held some interest at the time. Surprising how
it is difficult to do the, in depth, due diligence
when you are retired!! Maybe focus too much on keeping
what you hold.
Having looked at the Xpd debate, and a cursory look
at the latest report, I see the merits of the business.

I think that you have made smart moves, and that your holding
must now be bomb proof. A bit like a few of mine.
Hils, in one portfolio, before the latest purchase has a negative cost
of c£10. That is a bit extreme!! It also means that I missed out on a
lot of growth by selling too many:-(

Hey ho...

Takes a time to sink in sometimes!

ps
Looked at CLG when Pretty Little Thing used them for frocks. They do ASOS and SOS as well.
Tempted. Glad I held back. Again the search for something special inhibited me.

pps
Must remember you underplay your opinions!
