Red, the same happened at CNA and look what happened to the sp
Directors are using the buy back campaigns to make the eps in the short term look better in order to secure their bonuses, it's happening across the mkt and it's about time something was done to reign them in as AGMs seem pointless when the directors of the institutional investors are up to the same greed.

Venture Life extends manufacturing contract with Alliance Pharma
BFN News: 09 May, 2018

Venture Life announced its manufacturing contract with Alliance Pharma has been extended until 2025. The company also secured additional business in excess of that currently undertaken for Alliance.

Alliance is an international pharmaceutical company specialising in the acquisition and licensing of healthcare products. It has sales in more than 100 countries worldwide via direct sales, joint ventures and a wide network of distributors. It also has a strong track record of acquiring the rights to established niche products and currently owns or licenses the rights to approximately 90 pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare products.

Venture Life manufactures a number of products for Alliance and the agreement confirms the extension of these arrangements to 31 December 2025. It incorporates the manufacture of new products generating new additional revenues to the company of at least €1.6m annually. Subject to regulatory requirements and order timings, this additional business will likely start during H2 2018. This agreement will put the company at the forefront of Alliance's strategic suppliers. It confirms significant additional business for the company, as well as securing continued future business from Alliance.

Venture Life CEO Jerry Randall commented: "We're delighted to announce this contract extension out to 2025. "Alliance is one of our more significant customers and this agreement is a testament to the confidence they have in us and our ability to deliver. "In addition to the significant additional business Alliance has agreed to place with us, a further positive is that as part of this deal, we have also been given the opportunity to pitch for future new business that Alliance may put out to tender. "We are now well positioned as a valued strategic partner to Alliance and our strong relationship will give shareholders confidence in us as we go forward. We look forward to updating the market with further positive news over the coming months."

Alliance Pharma CEO Peter Butterfield commented: "We are actively fostering longer term relationships with our key strategic suppliers and are pleased to extend our relationship with Venture Life. Their consistent service and quality excellence will play a pivotal role in delivering growth and unlocking future benefits for both sides."

Vodafone

If it wasn't so serious it would be laughable.
Deal for Liberty European assets.
Financed by cash, debt and 3bn of convertible Euro bonds.
Why have they spent billions to buy back shares, then have to borrow and issue convertibles in bus ticket numbers?

"Estimated cost and capex synergies of approximately €535 million per year before integration costs by the fifth year post completion"
I will put my finger up in the air and hope that the wind blows my way.

No words.....

It's all information and opinion by a community of practice.
No blame attached to anyone.
I'm all for a stream of consciousness and avid for other folks thinking.
We all make our own decisions.

They certainly hold all the cards. I had some shares of little value that were taken over by an American company.
I thought I would leave them in case they ever did anything wonderful and they did better and better.
Imagine my dismay to find they had to been hived off somewhere and I would have to jump through hoops to claim them, when I thought they were safe in a nominee account!
It is not brilliant with share certificates either.
Not all companies will sell them for you and last time I did it it was expensive.

Glad I didn't buy into your posts including the YouTube clip of the CEO of FARN APAD.
Something about it smelled off to me and the downside looked too great so surprised you went in large

Mod that might well be right. The rules need updating because your legal ownership rights should not be affected by whether you hold a physical piece of paper. The world's moved on from paper based systems. I'd like to see Sharesoc and Beaufort clients push it all the way to see what a court thinks, should PwC continue with their plan.

Hydrus, I think unless you hold the share certificate, then they can sell it legally. It's not right because the clients money should be safe so I have also signed it.

I've signed the sharesoc petition against PwC being able to take client account monies to pay for their predicted £100m fees in relation to the Beaufort securities administration.I thought client accounts were meant to be ring fenced. They don't belong to Beaufort so how can PwC take them? Massive implications for all investors regardless of whether you are directly affected this time.

Tough "luck" Apad and dacian + anyone else in FARN. If it went the overway we would all be congratulating you but alas.... Wish you well and that you bounce back big time somewhere else when some good news comes your way.

red - NANO: There is hope yet. I really think that it will come good in the end but patience will be needed. Held for many years already and on this one am prepared to wait for many more. Not a huge holding remaining and sold quite a lot higher up before the big fall earlier.

FUTR - Not a bad day so far.
