28/11/2017 17:55 | I probably won't pursue that line much further Hydrus. It should be different from the hard-up company trying to survive in 2014 and they just have to make a success of their relationships with freelancers. Nothing seems to stop RSW! apad | apad
28/11/2017 17:41 | Here are some potential negatives APAD:- the company has looked promising in the past and yet ended up disappointing - could be another false dawn- it's just software so ultimately with investment competitors can catch them up - they struggled to manage working capital and the debtors at mid year might indicate similar problems - they could be growing too quickly and the whole thing could end up running out of their control - the bulletin board is starting to attract nutters and there are some over optimistic posters also I'm comfortable with these factors and think all are likely to be mitigated but still mindful of them. One has to take into account this is a tiny £35m Mcap company and I think they can get a fair bit bigger before the competitor point becomes a factor. | hydrus
28/11/2017 16:54 | Well good luck digging APAD I'd be interested to see any response | hydrus
28/11/2017 16:52 | I tried to email the company, but their interface does not accept gmail addresses :-) Agreed, H. Freelancers are an important part of their advantage over companies with a large payroll. I'm not too worried, but I would like to see a company response. apad | apad
28/11/2017 16:47 | Got to be honest the first one sounds like he was sacked (maybe for performance?), the second could be same and the third I believe was already on there when this matter was discussed a few months ago on the ZOO board. Nothing to unduly worry me although they do need to pay freelancers on time to retain good will | hydrus
28/11/2017 16:42 | Your point is valid, H. Disgruntled employees are more likely to post. However some companies respond, and I have not seen anything glowing. 2.5 out of 5 stars. I shall continue with my hunt for negatives now that I hold :-) apad | apad
28/11/2017 16:27 | I can't see the negative reviews in the link. However if it's freelancers my understanding is they use thousands - no doubt some will be unhappy and as not employees be quick to draw attention to any issues. However worth looking into for sure | hydrus
28/11/2017 16:18 | Thanks APAD. Not ideal, it sounds like it's the ZOO freelancers that are taking the hit. There was some chat about this before but I'm not sure if anyone has approached the company about it. | homebrewruss

28/11/2017 15:34 | Note: the reviews are recent. Interesting comparative interview. ZOO about 120 employees. EMEA thousands. apad | apad
28/11/2017 15:32 | Are those recent though APAD? this was discussed on the ZOO thread some time back | homebrewruss
28/11/2017 15:30 | ZOO Dreadful reviews on Glassdoor. www.glassdoor.com/Re apad | apad
28/11/2017 15:29 | Thanks, will dig further .. | attrader
28/11/2017 15:24 | Sorry guys, I've just added a few more ZOO and seem to have pushed up the offer price. ;-) I'm very thankful to SCSW for their 'sell' rec yesterday, which gave me the opportunity to buy some on the cheap. Having listened to the PI World presentation this afternoon, I decided I wanted a slightly larger position. | madmix
28/11/2017 15:20 | Hi attrader, According to the presentation there are a significant number of outfits that offer part of the service, often with expensive studios. ZOO is a one stop shop. Their use of subcontractors combined with an integrated system is impressive. Watch the video - it is clear what their advantage is. Anyroadup, I am a recent convert. fozzie and Hydrus are better experienced. apad | apad
28/11/2017 15:18 | attrader, perhaps better to ask on the ZOO thread. There is some mention of this in the latest comment on the ZOO thread. There's also a recent roundtable interview with ZOO and Deluxe (a competitor) here if you haven't seen it: | homebrewruss
28/11/2017 15:05 | Does anyone know Zoos competitors ? | attrader
28/11/2017 14:43 | I mentioned CRU last week, not much has happened. They have a fairly chequered history but I listened to a very upbeat agm statement from the boss and my spies tell me that business is very good. Increasing sales, higher margins, cutting costs, music to my ears but as yet nothing from the share price. I live in hope of an early Xmas present. | fozzie
28/11/2017 14:40 | Everyone's going to the ZOO ;0) Not sure I would like to see ZOO drop from here, as I am pretty fully invested now at a much lower price a dive may initiate some short term gloom in our house. That said my younger son has 5k to invest and I think half of it will be joining us. | fozzie
28/11/2017 14:31 | :-) You should be pleased by your visionary status, Hydrus. apad | apad
28/11/2017 14:17 | Blimey everyone piling in to ZOO should I be worried ! | hydrus
28/11/2017 13:46 | Thanks Apad re: your earlier post on FFWD. Switched into ZOO today and joined many others here it seems. Now watch the former shoot up! | lauders |
