The big trade was a delayed trade from the 15th according to LSE site. I suspect it was traded off market and just reported late. Hard to get any more info. London Stock Exchange has become like the Magic Circle regarding transparency, can only get trade info for today.

I'm not sure it is quite as clear cut as a 50% chance of complete business failure lolThere are risks of course but the reality is they are already well down the line and the new facility is already built in the US and they have signed a $100m contract with GKN for that facility so there is that too......

Expansion into USA is as likely to break them as make them.

Someone offloaded around 250,000 shares yesterday evening and throughout today. The reason for this is nothing to worry about or negative towards the company, they just wanted out due to personal reasons. Should hopefully see a nice rise into new US contract news next month imo

There'll be the usual punters. When small deals shift the sp, there's a few folk around who just want to cash a quick buck - that's their thing. Watch for news on thinly traded shares and grab 10-30% if they're quick and lucky.

Thanks for the figures. I guess it doesn’t matter exactly how they work out at the moment as they give plenty of latitude for higher valuations.

Re: prospects. I got same impression as you. Its sounds like more contracts as well as the GKN contract - unless it was written before the GKN contract, which seems very unlikely.

Second paragraph looks like it includes GKN, first paragraph implies more than that.

Happy with it now anyway - I hold from ages ago and was very worried about the BOD issues and then covid. Always looked like a good niche, but plenty of those have failed despite promise.

In the presentation, I thought there was throw away comment that another large US contract might be closer that we would normally expect.

Yump you asked in an earlier post, if anyone had made guesses of the future. I can’t find my original numbers but this my recollection and ties in a bit with Cenkos. I did sell my original holding because I thought it could go bust because of COVID. But I bought back rather blindly when the skies were reopening.

So here goes. The company was about break even. My guess was that it could generate about 10p of Eps on sales of about £50. Now if you were to look at Cenkos and look at the increases in sales and assume another order like the latest one, it could be assumed that £50 revenues and EPS ( taxed) could be reached. Originally I thought a PER between 15 and 20 could be reached with a price target of 150 - 200 based on a PEG of 0.75 to 1. Just my recollection but I hope it makes sense.

What is the current cash position an issue here? I assume the early sell off was concerns of a raising

Very nice - so profit not that far away - certainly compared to many fledgling businesses involved in carbon reduction.

A bit early to say, but if profits are heavily geared to volume, as with many manufacturers, may be much further to go. Probably depends on how much customisation is involved.

They’ve just got on with it over the years, no fuss, no constant tweets etc

Possibly one of the most positive RNSs I've seen from any of the companies in which I have a holding.Seems to be in a niche sector with a product that will be essential for the aviation industry's attempts to be vaguely carbon neutral.I look forward to the company justifying its optimism and there seems to be no obvious reason why it shouldn't.Onwards and upwards.

Still only a handful of posters ! Mind you this is mainly a trader’s site. Meanwhile there are clearly investors around.

Thought I’d just check what they said in the GKN announcement in case I got it wrong:

“The investment required to deliver the Agreement will come from Velocity's existing resources…R21;

“Work on the facility is at an advanced stage,”

Looks like more to come from US - they’ve scaled up Alabama in advance.

Previously, they said that Alabama was almost complete and had been accomplished using existing resources, so it may be that the business bursts into profit next year, especially if they end up supplying more than the GKN contract from there. ie. From a relatively fixed overhead cost.

Most manufacturing businesses need scale to cover their fixed factory costs.
