Well done Timbo and Vel holders,

promised to not comment on TA, but that pretty much looks like a bull flag breakout..

Again well done. Timbo knows his stuff.

Surely the MC at 9 mill is majorly undervalued after todays news?

SRT has a £90m cap, may take a read of the latest BN report

IES has £45m cap

o/t at the moment I only have 2 other UK manufacturers that seem to be on the verge of something much bigger than at present: IES and SRT, the latter in a better position after years of waiting for jam, I have extra shelves waiting in the pantry now. Big "moat" around that business, as with VEL by the look of it.

good post Yump, yet all the other co's on these boards get ramped & de ramped on a regular basis - yet this small company which are involved in a unique business product, sat quietly here for months, then suddenly release a $100m contract

Notice, no endless placings or death spiral - no option awards to the BoD or cheap warrants -

Funny really how a business with hardly any followers on here, announces a hugely significant contract and the threads with endless posts have nothing much happening at all.

I guess making mechanical stuff for things isn’t really fashionable. Where are all the “influencers” ?

Now we know the reason behind that sudden rise from under 20p recently.Hard to keep news of a contract that size quiet.

I don’t recall any mention of the facility in Alabama being mentioned before - its in final stages according to the RNS, so truly under the radar.

There was a 5 year contract announced in Feb 21 with a Tier 1 customer, so thats at least 2 nice long termers.

Great for Burnley (and the North !)

UK business needs a bit of good news in manufacturing. It is a proper niche then and a great recovery.

Remarkable contract. Clearly other big opportunities also. I bought back in here at 39p as I don't think £15m mcap reflects the scale of the transformational nature of this deal. It validates their business opportunity and based on the outlook comments there will be more of these over the coming years.

Two announcements from the company this morning and a house broker update:

from Cenkos:

Valuation

We form a fair value estimate for Velocity Composites by targeting an EV/EBITDA range of 6.5- 11.5x for FY24E, which would place the shares within the upper quartile of the UK industrials space which we believe is a fair reflection of the growth prospects for the business. This equates to a share price of 55p to 101p, which represents 111% to 288% upside versus the current share price.

I think I just thought it was a nice UK business that might come good as it seemed to have a niche and a few good orders signed. Then it all seemed to get messed up with the BOD hiccups, then Brexit, then covid.

Very difficult to know if its a little gem that is taking a long time to get serious traction, or a business that will just muddle along.

Me too. So long ago I can't remember why I bought them.Back of the settee job in the hope they might come good one day. Sitting on too much of a loss to sell.
