Beeezzz: This is not a typical university spin off, it is a fledgling company trying to cross the Valley of Death. Both Velocys and Oxford Catalyst started as providers of resp. microreactor technology and catalyst technology. Both have been in operation for quite some time, resp 17 and 14 years.

When Velocys changed their strategy from a technology provider to a one-stop project developer, they took another risky step because they had no credibility in that domain. The ENVIA plant was supposed to prove their project development capability and their technologies. Unfortunately, too many things went wrong: the project came in over budget and behind schedule and the EPC contractor went bankrupt. The start-up was difficult and marred with stops and starts and the last drop was the leak in the reactor assembly. It does not matter who is to blame, or whether the insurance will pick up the costs, the project developer will take the hit. The longer it takes to fix the issue, the worse Velocys looks as the ENVIA project developer.

In addition, the issue they are facing with the two projects under development is that they are engaging with two unproven technologies to convert the municipal waste into syngas. They are the Achilles heel in both projects assuming that the FT technology works as advertised.

On a positive note, the Red Rock Biofuels project's biomass gasification will be the guinea pig for the Natchez plant. If things go wrong, Velocys will install the improved version.

I don't like the company's sector description ie:- 'Oil Equipment & Services' ??
Surely we are more than that? - what happened to 'Alternative fuel oils and Waxes producer' from small scale gas to liquids ? - No wonder we have no revenue when we don't produce anything other than equipment or so it is portrayed - What is going on?
Is anyone in the organisation capable of marketing? - We are supposed to be magical chemists making environmentally safe fuels from otherwise waste products. - lets get rid of this we make things on lathes image - come on men wake up!!

You remain a long term loser in VLS, these types of play never work out well they suck up other peoples money and never have much to show for the capital employed .

Understand why you are bitter and angry for someone puncturing your balloon. You're entitled to your fantasy world though.

This is a typical University spin off, run by scientist with not one ounce of business sense, I think greed overtakes all reality. they could have easily set up small GTL plants not costing the earth unlike bigger than the company could afford.

Grown the business off the back of these small units producing some income, yet no we must go big and bankrupt the company instead.

Been building a stake and added a further to lots today and will continue buying as its way UNDERVALUED at current share price also hitting under 30 RSI is a good time to buy so Undersold as well. VLS can move fast with the right news and plenty of catalyst coming great investment opportunity imo

I'll post where I like, this is a public BB not a private club. Trouble with you lot is you believe your own fantasies and don't cope with any one puncturing your bubble.

Meanwhile the share price is at all time lows and tells you what the majority of sensible people like me think.

Overvalued at 34m and share price priced at sub 9p.

A penny share with an M.cap of 34m, tells any astute person that this has been diluted to death and will continue to be so. - That's a bit more truth for you.

OMG I cannot believe the rubbish that is being posted on this BB. There are a number of scurrilous and dishonest people posting on the board Owenski is just one. Probably from multiple accounts all run by the same person.

They are behaving like charlatans and their dishonest behaviour is affecting how honest investors might think. I think it is disgusting. I am seriously contemplating reporting this to ADVFN and going to ask that they remove these disreputable comments about Ervington holdings. Are they thick. No they are just dishonest.
