23/7/2018 13:29 | Does anyone understand why Velocys is raising £6M now after raising £18.3 in January and getting $6M from Red Rock Biofuels in May? The burn rate was £1.33M per month in 2017. With the £2.7 at the end of 2017 they should have a runway of more than 18 months. None of the uses of the proceeds given justifies this raise, unless Velocys has to pay for the ENVIA reactor repair. | fluky
23/7/2018 10:41 | I've taken your advice here, Owenski, sold the lot. Such a shame, but whatever successes one has on the market, there are always shares like this to make you feel a tiny bit stupid, all over again! Great concepts don't necessarily make great businesses. Until the business is great. | brucie5
23/7/2018 09:50 | Really don't get the buy and hold mentality. Holdings have been diluted to death and will be again, this isn't the last fund raise. I really don't see a business here. | owenski
23/7/2018 09:10 | When the F' is this Company going to show some revenue? - When are the so called'Partners' going to pay up for the so called 'joint investments'? - When are the management going to ease up on the freeloading lunches? - The definition 'small scale' resonates loudly at present! | deutsch3
23/7/2018 08:28 | Did say that there would be another placing here following that leak - can not see it being done at 10p though Perhaps 6p to 8p area? | cpap man
23/7/2018 08:09 | "Pleased"??? Why? He should be a realist and said "embarrassed". As for me, a long term holder (since Oxford Catalyst days), the correct adjectives to be used are more like "Depressed", "dismayed", etc. especially after finding the share price unexpectedly halving earlier this year when the company raised a humungous sum in January. | doclee
23/7/2018 08:05 | As expected... | goodgrief
23/7/2018 07:47 | Disgraceful considering they raised 18.4M in January. | john henry
23/7/2018 07:45 | Like yourself Garth no position but agree terrible RNS,makes you wonder how long the MM's have been running a short book knowing this was on the way.Quite some time I would guess. | riddlerone
23/7/2018 07:39 | "Velocys plc (VLS.L), the renewable fuels company, is pleased to announce that it intends to raise GBP6 million (gross) by way of a placing." I do hope that all existing shareholders are just as pleased as the directors of this £15m company that they are raising £6m at all time lows... But I somehow doubt it. Shockingly trite opening to the RNS. No position here, but have been watching for some time. Absolutely no intention to invest. G. | garth
23/7/2018 07:12 | LOL, and there you have it, yet another fund raise, sounds like they're responsible for repairing that catalyst problem?? | owenski
23/7/2018 06:57 | Unfortunately, labelling posters as 'sensible' is just a point of view usually from someone who wants their own opinion confirmed. This is still not making money and unlikely to, the ones making money here are the partners , this is just a contract consultant labour pool with IP they rent out for peanuts. | owenski
22/7/2018 22:10 | ...whereas now we're breaking wind. | arf dysg
21/7/2018 11:56 | This is a seriously depressing share as not long ago we were breaking 18p! | kirk 6
20/7/2018 15:42 | Looks like news out | kirk 6
19/7/2018 13:24 | Is this another of your 'rare' visits lol Glad you read my posts, maybe you might learn something instead of backing looser businesses like this one. | owenski
19/7/2018 13:21 | Wonder why you spend so much time talking about it then???? OMG you are a serial blogger..Obviously have too much much time on your hands..19 posts already today.. now that is nonsense. | gac141
19/7/2018 13:04 | "My thoughts are that the price is being kept low as the strategic investor will want to pay as near to 10p as did the January crowd." Total and utter nonsense. It's just not that good an investment. | owenski
19/7/2018 12:28 | Rarely view this thread either. Usually chock full of unsubstantiated rose-tinted wishful thinking. Though with Velocys producing little in hard revenues for their investments thus far, it defies meaningful financial analysis! | goodgrief
19/7/2018 12:02 | My thoughts are that the price is being kept low as the strategic investor will want to pay as near to 10p as did the January crowd. Once the strategic investor is in and the company financially secure the price will gain momentum. However I don't think Velocys will announce anything now until at least September as it is holiday season. Rarely view this BB now. | gac141
19/7/2018 10:14 | Yes I have look at AIQ.....lol | kirk 6
19/7/2018 09:50 | LOL, Post 1965 Have you ever met management that think the share price should be lower then. The market decides the price and they're sending a message on this one. | owenski
19/7/2018 09:48 | Quick question please: is the ENVIA plant now fully operational & running at maximum capacity? | thebigshortfella |
