Does anyone understand why Velocys is raising £6M now after raising £18.3 in January and getting $6M from Red Rock Biofuels in May? The burn rate was £1.33M per month in 2017. With the £2.7 at the end of 2017 they should have a runway of more than 18 months.
None of the uses of the proceeds given justifies this raise, unless Velocys has to pay for the ENVIA reactor repair.

I've taken your advice here, Owenski, sold the lot. Such a shame, but whatever successes one has on the market, there are always shares like this to make you feel a tiny bit stupid, all over again! Great concepts don't necessarily make great businesses. Until the business is great.

Really don't get the buy and hold mentality.

Holdings have been diluted to death and will be again, this isn't the last fund raise.

I really don't see a business here.

When the F' is this Company going to show some revenue? - When are the so called'Partners' going to pay up for the so called 'joint investments'? - When are the management going to ease up on the freeloading lunches? - The definition 'small scale'

"Pleased"??? Why? He should be a realist and said "embarrassed".

As for me, a long term holder (since Oxford Catalyst days), the correct adjectives to be used are more like "Depressed", "dismayed", etc. especially after finding the share price unexpectedly halving earlier this year when the company raised a humungous sum in January.

I do hope that all existing shareholders are just as pleased as the directors of this £15m company that they are raising £6m at all time lows...

But I somehow doubt it. Shockingly trite opening to the RNS.

No position here, but have been watching for some time. Absolutely no intention to invest.

Unfortunately, labelling posters as 'sensible' is just a point of view usually from someone who wants their own opinion confirmed.

This is still not making money and unlikely to, the ones making money here are the partners , this is just a contract consultant labour pool with IP they rent out for peanuts.

Rarely view this thread either. Usually chock full of unsubstantiated rose-tinted wishful thinking. Though with Velocys producing little in hard revenues for their investments thus far, it defies meaningful financial analysis!

My thoughts are that the price is being kept low as the strategic investor will want to pay as near to 10p as did the January crowd.

Once the strategic investor is in and the company financially secure the price will gain momentum. However I don't think Velocys will announce anything now until at least September as it is holiday season.

Rarely view this BB now.
