A significant-looking reduction in Mr Abramovich's holding announced today : down to 21.12%.

I've come to the conclusion the only way to make money out of AIM stocks is to short them, especially R&D ones, who come to market far to early with no product and years of research and finally end up with nothing to show for it...AIM is full of them, VLS is a prime example..

I doubt if this company will survive in its current form, it burns cash and I cant even see the business attraction. It's just a group of consultants with some GTL patents that has yet to earn it meaningful returns.

It owns no assets as such.

So on that basis it "could be" just as likely to go down the pan.

Significant environmental milestone for Mississippi project

Velocys plc (VLS.L), the renewable fuels company, announced today that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued The Fonz.

For further details, see the RNS announcement here:

I have to say, The Fonz puts me in mind of John Travolta, but The Fonz appears to have a narrower face.

(*) RNS: Relatively Not Serious

Don't need to as I used the words "could be"Mike agree with you if it wasn't for the leak we could be well into the 20s if not higher

Nice piece of necessary news but the elephant in the room remains and, while it remains unresolved, news like this will lose their impact.

Its been a real shame about the leak. I'm certain the share price would have been around 20p now if it hadn't occurred.

Velocys PLC Environmental milestone for Mississippi projectSource: RNS Non-RegulatoryTIDMVLSVelocys PLC07 August 2018News releaseVelocys plc("Velocys" or "the Company")7 August 2018Significant environmental milestone for Mississippi projectVelocys plc (VLS.L), the renewable fuels company, announced today that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) on the environmental assessment report for Velocys' planned Bayou Fuels biorefinery in Natchez, Mississippi. With the FONSI process completed, Velocys will now focus on the next steps in the project's development, including securing the state-level permits that will be required to construct and operate the biorefinery. The 160-page environmental assessment report details the impact of the proposed facility across 15 potential aspects, including: land use, water resources, air quality, wildlife, visual impact, noise, transport and public and occupational health. In each case, the report concludes the plant would have "none", "none to minor", or "minor" impacts during construction and operation. The FONSI was issued as part of Velocys' ongoing development of a 100-acre site in Natchez that the company secured in October 2017. The site will be home to a pioneering biorefinery that will use Velocys' innovative technology to produce low-carbon transportation fuels from the wood wastes of lumber operations and tree plantations. The plant is expected to convert locally-sourced woody biomass waste into enough renewable fuel to meet the demands of running around 40,000 diesel and gasoline trucks. No opposing or negative comments were filed as part of the USDA's public consultation process.David Pummell, CEO of Velocys, said:"This is a significant step in the permitting of the Bayou Fuels biorefinery as well as an important milestone for the overall development of the project. The environmental assessment provides independent confirmation that the project will not give rise to any significant environmental impacts and reflects our commitment to responsible and safe project development."Chandler Russ, Executive Director - Economic Development for Natchez/Adams County, said:"This is a great step forward for a project that is a natural fit for the local resource base and economy. The USDA assessment should ease considerably the process for obtaining additional permits, and other project development activities."- Ends -For further information, please contact: Velocys +44 1235 838 David Pummell, CEO 621 Camarco (UK financial communications & PR) Billy Clegg Georgia Edmonds Tom Huddart +44 20 3757 4983 Scoville Public Relations (US public relations) +1 206 625 0075 John Williams #1 Web | TwitterAbout VelocysVelocys is dedicated to becoming a material producer of renewable fuels from sustainable resources. I don't think so but a couple of interesting items:
1. Velocys is referred to as a technology provider and ENVIA as a project developer.
2. The authors forgot to look across the boarder to Canada where Enerkem has a commercial plant in operation in Edmonton to convert waste to fuels - way ahead of Fulcrum and Red Rock Biofuels...

Don't any of you do any research ? or are you trying to de-ramp a company that some very large institutions like Lansdowne have 28% stake and Mr Abramovich and his Ervington 29% stake tells you all you need to know why they are heavily invested here. Not for a couple pennies like your short term day traders.
Obviously people de ramping that sold too early thinking this was going to tank but buying pressure has returned with further funds to help the current situation at 10p.
Very few shares to be traded and once these get taken watch this move to next resistance
Only 23% of shares are in free float and and a large % of these will be held onto so that tells you these tightly held shares will only leave hardly anything to trade daily.

You won't see these any lower.... but continue to de-ramp if you think it helps
