13/11/2023 10:51 | Dubai Air Show starting today.Large aircraft orders expected across the board. This prestigious event is a good barometer apparently. | geraldus
07/11/2023 12:37 | Ref my post 413. I heard from the company - apparently they had a meeting with Spirit and were advised the opportunity could be $100M. Doesn't mean they are going to do a deal of course, and that number might be achieved over a number of years as per GKN. But there is definitely an ongoing dialogue. Fingers crossed! | melody9999
06/11/2023 07:38 | This sounds like it could be beneficial to Velocity particularly the mention of fan cases, these are usually carbon fibre.https://uk.adv | melton john
05/11/2023 22:38 | Thanks Melody and Melton | hydrus
31/10/2023 07:47 | Thanks melody, VEL starts from 50 minutes in. | melton john
31/10/2023 00:01 | Recent VEL presentatation here: | melody9999
30/10/2023 11:07 | I bought a few more this morning and it's showing as a sell FWIW. US economy doing well should benefit VEL. | melton john
27/10/2023 18:52 | Melody was it recorded? On LinkedIn:'Velocity Composites has joined an elite group of aerospace companies that have successfully completed the National Aerospace and Defence Contractors' Accreditation Programme special process audits to the highest level. We came through the rigorous NADCAP kitting service provider special process audits for our Burnley and Fareham facilities with 100 per cent pass rate across both sites. This elevates Velocity Composites UK sites to the highest merit programme level under NADCAP, with the next audit in 2025.' | hydrus
24/10/2023 09:19 | Did anyone else watch the Mello presentation? I noticed that the Spirit opportunity had increased to $100M (it was $50M on earlier presentations) so I have asked the company for an update. | melody9999

12/10/2023 05:43 | Thanks to jim89 over on the LSE VEL BB: Haydock-based Seneca Partners has invested a further £1.5m in Lancashire aerospace composites manufacturer, Velocity Composites, as part of a £6.6m funding round. This latest investment will enable Velocity to accelerate its growth in the UK and overseas following the opening of its plant in Alabama, US, and to add to its sites in Burnley and Fareham in the UK. Seneca is an existing shareholder in AIM-quoted Velocity through its £50m EIS Fund and this additional £1.5m of funding has been provided through a combination of its Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and Venture Capital Trust (VCT) funds under management. | lauders
11/10/2023 10:15 | Flurry of holding RNS recently. Looks like the 12.5M placing shares have been taken by Amati, Seneca and Rathbones. Suspect Stonehage Fleming and Octopus have been diluted in % terms rather than any selling - hence those 2 RNS. | melody9999
28/9/2023 12:51 | Thank you for your update from the company melody9999. Much appreciated. If I had spare funds I would be adding around these levels. Alas, I will just have to watch as the share price hopefully reacts to positive news-flow as and when it is announced. | lauders
28/9/2023 12:39 | Massive dilution here as can be seen in the Cavendish note. They still have fair value at 68p - £1.00 but to me it's all in the price.Another large contract is needed for visibility beyond 2024. | geraldus
28/9/2023 12:31 | Hmmm - not sure I agree value diminished Geraldus. GKN contract taking longer to get going means profits have been pushed back - that's all. Key thing is they now have cash to execute their growth strategy and this will be a positive message to deliver to prospective new customers..... and you can buy at 10%+ below placing price. Good entry point? | melody9999
28/9/2023 12:01 | so I have added a slither more today at a 15%+ discount to the placing price. | melody9999
28/9/2023 10:08 | Earnings for next year were forecast at 3.8p.Post trading statement and cash raise now around 0.8p.Value diminished. | geraldus
28/9/2023 09:38 | Folks - I had an exchange with the CEO yesterday. He advises everything is on track The £5M placing is expected to complete 6th October. Operationally things going to plan as per the last TU in July. And suggestion that they might do a virtual presentation on Mello on 13th October - so worth watching out for that. So recent share price weakness is not company specific - particularly so when you consider that the aerospace industry is so buoyant. | melody9999
25/8/2023 11:18 | There is no particular significance to my KPMG parallel, just a coincidence. The reason why investors like a stability in this position is that Finance are seen as the guardians of profitability and are protective of margin on sales. | gopher
24/8/2023 10:48 | Ex KMPG.......well he was a manager 10 years ago at KPMG (which is a junior position there) and had other jobs since then. I know plenty of former KPMG/PWC managers and I wouldn't necessarily hold that particular experience as a mark of quality when it comes to being an effective CFO. | hydrus
24/8/2023 10:17 | Thanks Melody. It is a bit of a red flag as this is the second CFO that has left in the last 3 years. Both ex KPMG and late thirties. Obviously happier with a more experienced older guy who will be more amenable as only temporary. Make of this what you will. | gopher
23/8/2023 20:00 | That's helpful insight thank you Melody | hydrus
23/8/2023 19:10 | Thanks for that melody - I read the post meeting note and hadnt related it to the loss of the cfo. certainly one possible explanation | janeann
23/8/2023 18:55 | Hydrus 394 - I wonder whether he has been managed out? I don't know but your comment strikes a chord with me. Someuwin 395 - Suggests a major falling out over something. My sense is that this has likely been coming for some time. | melody9999 |
