10/10/2018 07:17 | You could'nt make this up, corruption by a director now and shareholders bearing the brunt with none payment of dividend.Stinks and share price deserves to tank. | martyn9
09/10/2018 20:54 | Chav I think u are completely deluded if u actually believe that the EU will suffer more pain from a no deal Brexit than the UK, it’s a myth peddled by the daily mail and the sun and unfortunately too many people have believed it. The only people who will benefit will be the super rich, people like Rees Mogg et al. When car factories shut in the North and move to the continent then people will begin to change their mind. This is the biggest act of self sabotage any country has made in many many years. | darren81
09/10/2018 19:54 | This could be good share to be in with all the brexit uncertainties. The pound sure to trade even lower to compensate for WTO tariffs if no deal! One good thing, the devalued pound since the vote might of just saved the British steel industry. A lower pound would see more expensive european imports, on top of the tariffs, so we would buy a lot less from them. (hopefully replace it with more home produce) However a lower pound would even out tariffs on our goods going to them. Not sure if a devaluing ruble has any impact on UEN assets, would think not! As the refinery would just go up in value as the ruble drops, and of course, the oil is priced in dollars. | theclangers
09/10/2018 19:37 | Yes chav and can only add to your good post. Why have the EU club accounts not been signed off in over 20 yrsTotally corrupt. | martyn9
09/10/2018 16:03 | I'm not sure that'll happen chav - I suspect/hope that it doesn't actually happen in first place, if it does I think the pain will be so great that it'll be reversed within 5 years....when the older voters who voted for this shambles die off and the young people who have had their futures put in jeopardy come of age to vote. | darren81
09/10/2018 15:57 | Never mind Martyn, I'm sure when Brexit is done and dusted and remainders get on the same end of the rope and pull in the same direction instead of against us, everything will come right in spades once we are free. | chavitravi2
09/10/2018 14:16 | given current gbp/usd fx rate - brexit is having a positive effect on the SP I dread to think where it'd be with £1 = $2 | darren81
09/10/2018 14:04 | Indeed... this share is doing my head in; it should at least have found stabilisation at 100p rather than 75p - even then it's insane | spandy83
09/10/2018 13:54 | If POO spiked just as we were to send out next shipment it could well lead to a much healthier profit margin as MET is paid throughout the year and Export tax is calculated on the basis of prices in the previous month. The converse could also be true tho! $100 would equate to $15.6million in revenue for the next shipment, even at todays prices revenue from the next shipment would be $13.2million (one of two per year!) Our current MCap is $12.3million ....ridiculous!!!!! | darren81
09/10/2018 13:43 | If oil hit $100 i wonder if we would see any movement with this!! | martyn9
08/10/2018 12:39 | Given Adler paid almost £3 per share for their holding - they've lost 75% of the value of their investment at today's share price and with div of 6.2c they are seeing a paltry 1.6% yield on their initial investment - in no way does that represent a "cash cow". I'm sure Adler are very keen to see the share price increase and their divi increase too! | darren81
08/10/2018 11:27 | But that is the point darren81! The intention here was to make UEN a dollar/sterling cash cow for the majority owner and it was therefore moved to a dividend paying entity. There is no need or reason to spend out and make this grow in that environment, other than to make it all seem like expansion is possible. So yes, if you can't beat them etc and make a nice income compared with most other forms of investment these days and, timing-wise, even a small capital gain. But not buying above, say, £1.00 max. That runs the risk of being locked in. At 75p well, I see no problem grabbing plenty but it is not going to move the share price without big players as Adler controls this for his own ends. Period. 05/10/2018 13:56 | That’s not what ur post suggested mate, do the numbers from a year ago and it’s an extremely healthy return!! Seems u just see what u want to see or use whatever u can to deramp...was a very poor choice of post to use if u wanted to talk down investment U really need to get out more rather than trawl through posts from the past year of a board. | darren81
05/10/2018 13:36 | It's not a good return if you bought in February when the rampers encouraged punters to jump in | neftanik
05/10/2018 13:34 | That's my 10 buy. So I don't get accused of not being a holder. | neftanik
05/10/2018 10:14 | @Neftanik, You seem to be looking/going out of your way to deramp here, digging up negative posts from a year ago is quite some effort IMO. | theclangers
05/10/2018 08:16 | Added a few more earlier, with divi coming up soon, its better here than in a bank. neft - given the price you stated in your post from last year / current price / divi paid last year and divi upcoming in next couple of months that's an extremely healthy return!! | darren81
05/10/2018 07:06 | Well acturley going by last years share price, It's not too shabby, we are a few points higher, also holders have received a decent dividend thats higher than the a FTSE average. Off subject, Alba are fow testing Horse Hill right now, an oil tanker has been spotted leaving site yesterday, and they are burning off gas. | theclangers
04/10/2018 18:08 | A post from almost exactly one year ago:"Not guilty today folks. Feeling like a further top up at 67.75 but she's just a bit illiquid so I'm keeping my powder dry."Are you really sure it's worth hoarding you money here?? | neftanik
04/10/2018 16:27 | Late sells,marvellous!! | martyn9
04/10/2018 15:44 | Sad state of business here, brent crude approaching $86 and not one trade so far today. And what's our marketing company doing sweet FA. | martyn9 |
