I'm in India at the moment. I haven't called anyone at the moment back next week - Hopefully we will know more by then.

cheers amargosa "Nick, the 'protect creditors' statement is normally a threat to call in the administrators"

It's certainly worked to tank the share price at least. Hopefully they won't follow it up, but when in a spat like this, could happen I suppose, to punish the main shareholder perhaps?

Lalria, thanks for the reply. Has anyone from the Company/Allenby actually explained what they mean by 'protect creditors' by the end of the month? Or at least promised to explain directly to us by the end of this week? The Market thinks it knows what that means.

I don't see why it shouldn't "be going good" Lalria.
I think the board are miffed Kornonov forced their hand probably by Adler in taking more of the port and investing in it. They do have an airport there but an up to date sea port would take a lot of extra import and export not to mention people.
If you do a bit of research it's surprising how much business there is there.

What happened to the demands for an immediate shareholder meeting with the Board members in London (where they live)? This needs to take place now, before they carry out our their threat. Surely there has been some communication from them?

They must have something planned or why buy a share of the port, which needs money spent on it, when we have none? I think Sberbank will front the money.

It will be increasing to see what becomes of the "potentially significant discovery"

Nick, I think all we can do right now is sit back and chill a bit and wait for a more clear and concise rns from them on the matter. It shouldnt be long in coming I dont think.
I think (hope) $1m of that money is our share of updating the port.
We should be ok with the port if the bent Governor is on our side which he probably is.

What could the BOD do to 'protect creditors'?

I'm still baffled by what they are talking about here, if the money doesn't get repaid very soon (which it won't IMO) and presuming they don't raise some funds elsewhere?

What about the anti monopoly authorities in Russia, will they be sticking their noses in now also? Any excuse from them for a few roubles.

Correct amargosa, and a badly run company will not attract any new investment.Total shambles well done bod.

That too! However the Board handed control to Kononov either deliberately or incompetently; either way they messed up big time especially when the person to whom they handed operational and financial control was also the 45% shareholder.

In any other company there would have been heads rolling all over the place.

If the BODs wanted more control then they should have bought some shares in the company

No denying that! What a mess.

Was this really about tax or total control:

It's not as if the Board were unaware.

Gaffer73, yep, that is why he sold to LDC to get round Fed law. Has to be imo.

No problems Chav? This business means we require a 100% rise in share price to be back at the level in early August...

Now who gains out of all this? I'm minded to refer back to the 'see no reason' RNS at the start of 2017 and how that was advantageous to nobody here.

Nevertheless, as Neft has done, at 48p this must be a good price for PIs too, even if the outcome could be a take over and nice dividends will not be the benefit I envisaged just a fortnight ago!
