08/6/2018 15:09 | not much detail in the Q&As - seems more like a "go away and leave me alone" type of response! | darren81
08/6/2018 13:56 | I recommend that everyone takes a look at the graph showing the price of oil in Roubles. Most of our sales are exports and so this will affect us massively. 2017 results might not be the best but 2018 results will be huge. I also took a look back at 2016 full results and I found the strategy section very encouraging with statements such as ''Our strong financial position means that we can still take advantage of opportunities to acquire additional licences in our three principal areas, as well as undertake work overs and fund exploratory wells from our own resources.'' and ''Our strategy is to exploit our expanded portfolio of proven and probable reserves through planned field developments over the next couple of years. We intend to explore partnerships with oil service companies as well as possible co-operation with companies with complimentary operations, for example in the Komi region.'' Clearly the aim is expansion. At the moment now we have exploration and expansion supported by very healthy oil production and oil prices and also a large asset base to take loans out off of them needs be. I am also very excited for RK oil as we are actively looking for ''co-operation''. With over 250 million barrels possible this could be a game changer for urals and on its own would be enough to justify an 11 million market cap. These sorts of things are hidden in RNSs and you often have to re-read several times to get the positives out of them but you only have to read once to get the negatives. | bangers and cash1
08/6/2018 11:28 | mmm interesting. can only get £1500 shares through Halifax anything higher goes to neg trade | fromthesidelines
07/6/2018 23:29 | It would be useful if the company would mention how this will impact p&l in their results this year...will show that they’re actually trying to return value to shareholders if they provide some forward looking/upbeat analysis rather than the usual “just ticking along” cr@p We shall see...not long til end of June when they need to release 2017 year end results and drilling update...let’s hope they actually invest some of our hard earned money on a decent PR company this time and actually sell this company like they should! | darren81
07/6/2018 22:24 | Fantastic. Maybe finally we could see a big move. Can’t stay down here long with assets at around 400p a share, 5% dividend, drill results, tanker shipments worth market cap, possible acquisitions, possible joint ventures and oil prices rallying. Cheaper than chips for me. | bangers and cash1
07/6/2018 21:24 | This is a huge game changer for Urals. I will expand with figures over the weekend - but the replacement of export and MET taxes and replacement with a profit based tax will be transformational for producing oil companies which are currently just about breaking even or making a modest profit. As long as the profit based taxes are based on overall company profit rather then operational profit this should free up significant funds to assign to drilling and M&A rather then the current scenario where this cash is being eaten up by paying of taxes up front. Assuming Urals has some drilling success over the next couple of years and manages to maintain or increase production this should mean that by 2022 the share price is multiples of today's price and hopefully much higher | djmoggy
07/6/2018 20:51 | Darren do you know the exact affect of this on us? Sounds very positive at the moment though. | bangers and cash1

07/6/2018 17:26 | Waiting for you. You really do keep an eye on this company and this thread for someone that has no financial interest here. Waiting for another Loading, another drill and another acquisition and another nice divi payment which was very much appreciated last year. | lalria
07/6/2018 17:21 | Waiting for what? Another loading, another loan, another failed well..,,, | neftanik
07/6/2018 16:16 | Been very quiet here recently. Looks like we are all waiting for the news now. Should be that much longer to wait now. Hoping starts to move rapidly up over the next half of the year | lalria
06/6/2018 10:09 | is that blue I see per chance - amazed that it took so long given number of buys yesterday and this morning! | darren81
05/6/2018 17:53 | Guys you really need to check out COPL currently to buy 0.55p. A potential to be a multi baggar. It tried its luck in Liberia but failed to find any Oil.It is now concentrating in Nigeria. There it has partnered with Shoreline a Nigerian company. Copl and Shoreline have ventured together and created a company called Shorecan which is owned 50/50 by both. They have bidded for a Licence and are awaiting Approval and Transfer of Asset. The asset is OPL 226.Five wells have been drilled on OPL 226 by previous operators.A well drilled in 2001 encountered Oil. When all approvals are sorted then it will drill an appraisal well on the discovery in 2001.Financing for the drilling is meant to be secured for rumours are true. What is holding the share price back presently is NNPC approval. $60m was spent on this asset by the previous operator.the potential for Copl is huge. I know most of you gonna say its another Nigerian scam.IMO i think it is not.Presently we have 2 Nigerian companies listed on the LSE they are Egland Oil and Gas (market cap £250m) and Seplat Petroleum (market cap £850m) Copl management wants it to be a mid tier oil and gas company ie £250m-£5 All to play for.Current market cap for Copl is just under £10m.I think its one of the best plays on the LSE. | nicky21
05/6/2018 09:53 | Jiggsyboy, exactly, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they weren't told a collective of big holders would call for their dismissal if they failed. I think that is one reason this is taking more time because they are being more careful. | chavitravi2
04/6/2018 21:20 | Wouldnt take much for the major shareholder to get rid of them, if he wanted a better result. | jiggsyboy
04/6/2018 18:09 | Finished? What do you think will happen? | neftanik
04/6/2018 16:43 | TTB,if they don't hit oil let's hope they hit vodka! Some Companies are doing well flogging that. I reckon all is well with it or they would have said by now I think. I would say the team are acutely aware they are finished if they don't bring this one in after all the failures. | chavitravi2
04/6/2018 15:50 | I too am in Spain for another couple of weeks . Djm has summed it up .Urals is a sound company but drilling a well ????? 01/6/2018 20:18 | Right oh, gotcha. | chavitravi2
01/6/2018 19:22 | It's a target previously stated by directors. 3 successful drills at South Dagi could potentially result in total daily prod in excess of 3000. At the presentation the directors seemed to be quietly confident on the potential there - although who knows what the outcome of drilling will be | djmoggy
01/6/2018 18:27 | Moggy, where do you get 3000 bopd? (I wish) Currently Petrosakh produces 930bopd and Articneft 992bopd. Another 1000 would be most welcome if it could be conjured up from some where. | chavitravi2
01/6/2018 15:29 | Look at the photos on the website. You can see how small and rundown it is | neftanik |
