27/5/2009 09:39 | Morning all So little volume and yet we rise....agree with everyone else, the precursor to news 'shortly'. Those in EEL won't mind me using the word 'shortly' will they??? LOL Gooner...stay away from telling us what limits you can get on 150k sells - you make me nervous mate! Cheers all, OTU | on the up
27/5/2009 09:28 | Sorry Canny, yes I meant 5.00 Five pounds per share for Sibir. also see below Total Interested In New Opportunities In Russia - E&P Head PARIS -(Dow Jones)- French oil major Total SA (TOT) would be interested in new opportunities to help develop Russia's oil and gas reserves, the company's head of exploration and production said Wednesday. If there new opportunities were to present themselves, the company "would like to take them," Yves Louis Darricarrere told delegates at an energy conference in Paris. Darricarrere made the remark in response to a question as to whether Total might be interested in helping to develop the vast resources of Russia's Yamal peninsula. Total, along with StatoilHydro ASA (STO), also plans to help OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) develop Russia's Arctic offshore Shtokman field. The Shtokman project, for which a final investment decision hasn't yet been taken, is "very challenging" but "progressing well," he said. | gerryl
27/5/2009 09:23 | If I get any more relaxed comedy I will be asleep! (although it appears a lot of people are still asleep at the moment) - strangely quiet on here over the last 2 days :) I do agree with you re the rise -very similar to the rise when we rose from the ashes of 3p a while back then news followed shortly after ....:) | ![]() jcgswims
27/5/2009 09:22 | IMO there are 4 things that have resulted in the last two days rises: 1. Russian market heading north again 2. POO increasing again and holding above $60 free stock charts from www.advfn.com 3. The news about Gazpromneft and Sibir 4. The most obvious one in that we are due news very soon on debt restructuring | ![]() jonnyfro
27/5/2009 09:18 | relax guys...they will play with it as they will want those who got in sub 8p out. They will also try the daily trick of punting it up in the morning making one believe that they can sell at the peak and get back in the dip later in day. A few lucky ones maybe able too but rest will get caught out(been there). Also they want their pound of flesh when you then try to buy in size ie want a premium over anything over 10k in shares and your broker comes back and makes out as if they've managed to get you "mana". gl all | ![]() comedy
27/5/2009 09:14 | Limits 100k each 9.22 v 10.5p - big spread at the moment - 2 v 2 EVO,KBC v CANA,WINS :) EDIT you can buy smaller amounts for 10.276 | ![]() jcgswims
27/5/2009 09:14 | well this is exactly the type of strange action we had at the jump from 4p to 8p and again to 16p...so my take is if large buy in the system we will only find out after they have mugged some out with the little jumps yesterday and today...the share here has been leaky as many of us know so this could be first indicator that deal done and news close AIMHO!!! fml had a 1.4 mill buy i think from 21st reported yesterday so, so shows how they can hide what they want when they want and the little pi can complain but will get little recourse if they have sold. gl all will watch from sidelines as hands locked away..no more buying :) | ![]() comedy

27/5/2009 08:52 | Sorry let me clarify, just one of the deals going through is : GAZPROM Neft the oil arm of Gazprom launched a 5.00p a share bid in to SIBIR, Bennfield Ltd,City of Moscow and Bank of Moscow own approx 18% of Siber. Lots of activity going on over there it seems! g | gerryl
27/5/2009 08:46 | MM performance is really weird, are they short or stock, I still remember there is no large buy since the consecutive five falling days. | landwatcher
27/5/2009 08:43 | Read in The City today, something about increased activity with SIBOR and others doing deals ( Russian Govt ) appears to be behind the buying in to a lot of Russian oilers at the moment. I wouldnt be at all surprised to hear of a very very large buying through any day now, news must be imminent !! g | gerryl
