26/5/2009 13:59 | jcgswims - 26 May'09 - 13:58 - 26508 of 26508 Quite possible though. What's buy limit / size btw? Thanks | itskashyap
26/5/2009 13:58 | Now that's surely asking too much of those pesky mm's Dusseldorf lol ;) | jcgswims
26/5/2009 13:39 | Steady on, that's approaching near sensible volumes on either side, perhaps the MM's can finish a return to an orderly market for shares by narrowing the spread a tad, say moving the bid up to 9.75 and leaving the ask at 10 | dusseldorf
26/5/2009 13:32 | Limits gone up to 100k each 8.7 v 9.625/10p - 3 v 1 KBC, CANA , EVO v WINS :) | jcgswims
26/5/2009 12:44 | Sibir Energy approves Gazprom Neft takeover offer MOSCOW Sibir Energy said Tuesday it had agreed to a takeover bid from Gazprom Neft over a rival offer from Sibir's minority shareholders and after Gazprom Neft increased its price. Gazprom Neft, Russia's fifth-largest oil producer, proposed a cash offer for the entire London-listed company, except for shares owned by Bennfield Limited, the Central fuel company and the Bank of Moscow, which together own more than 40 percent. Gazprom Neft plans to pay 500 pence for every ordinary share, Sibir said in a statement. That is nearly three times what Sibir's shares last traded at in February, when trading was suspended after a steep selloff. The acquisition could potentially pave the way for state-controlled Gazprom Neft to obtain a controlling stake in Sibir. Under British law, any shareholder with a stake of more than 30 percent is obliged to launch a formal takeover bid. Gazprom Neft, which runs the Moscow refinery with Sibir, earlier increased its stake in the company to about 27.5 percent. | chway14
26/5/2009 12:42 | Saudi King Abdullah said that "fair" price for oil should be between 75 to 80 dollars per barrel, reported AFP. He also forecast that in the near future the cost of barrel of oil will stabilize at a higher level than the current rate (about 60 dollars). Earlier, Saudi Oil Minister Ali al-Naimi predicted rise in oil prices to 75 dollars after the global economy stabilizes. Interestingly, in March, al-Naimi considered "ideal" price of 60-75 dollars. The price of oil reached a historic high in mid-July 2008, reaching 147 dollars per barrel. But then prices began a sharp decline due to global economic crisis. In December 2008, oil had dropped in price to a five-year minimum - 32 dollars per barrel. | ucasavi
26/5/2009 12:18 | darren the 116k buy was part of that order so you can discount that... | jonnyfro
26/5/2009 12:15 | if they are filling an order then they'd need to raise the price as from last 4 trades 155,000 buys and only 7500 sells | darren81
26/5/2009 12:12 | 50k each now 9.26 v 10.09 still 1 v 2 :) | jcgswims
26/5/2009 12:01 | If EVO are filling an order, which seems likely, I'm susprised they feel the need to be so far ahead of the pack in order to encourage the necessary sells. Perhaps it's a very large order to be completed quickly. In which case I'm holding... AIMVHO of course. | peetle
26/5/2009 11:40 | Limits 25k each 9.26 v 10.025 - 1 v 2 :) | jcgswims
26/5/2009 11:32 | Sold around 100 k in bits this am, trading stock, am now at 670 k. Will hold this amount now until we are in a better place hopefully! Good luck. | matt19
26/5/2009 11:31 | Starting to think the same thing JF, EVO have been hoovering up the sells quite happily, whereas all the other MM's have left the bid. | rattlesnake28
26/5/2009 11:27 | JCG can you post the buy limits please? I have a feeling that 116k buy is part of a buy order that EVO are filling.. | jonnyfro
26/5/2009 11:25 | can sell up to 25k at 9.26p | carlito sway
26/5/2009 11:25 | mm's are a bunch of slippery c*nts. i've been saying it forever on aim. its a closed book | blue85
26/5/2009 11:18 | with a say 10% spread, trading 10 times more stock than they hold, breaks it even for them if anything goes wrong. Any trade above that is pure profit. | ucasavi
26/5/2009 11:08 | GerryL, I was under the impression that MM's generally limit their exposure to any given stock to protect themselves from 5pm RNS type events. It's not only shareholders after all that can make a loss on trades. It's a misconception that MM's make a profit on every trade. | rattlesnake28
26/5/2009 11:08 | Limits dropped right down to 1k each - still 1 v 2 :) | jcgswims
26/5/2009 10:57 | Dusseldorf, these MM's have been stake building for months now! They know something is afoot. IMHO g | gerryl
26/5/2009 10:50 | MrKeysersoze - 26 May'09 - 10:44 - 26485 of 26486 lol! | rattlesnake28
