I think there will a fall to pre offer price plus a discount for the lack of faith in the management. Unless shares are suspended or there is some material news.

Just had a browse of the Upland Resources London South East page. Completely delusional over there. They still think this is worth 3p!! What's worse, they still trust the BOD and that there's lots of big news items to come before Christmas, so everything will be fine; just got to put them in the bottom drawer for six months.

"So this bogus approach of potential offer, has simply become a very short-term hindrance.." My favourite one.

All the usual claptrap really. They are total amateurs on that site.

Would bring a tear to a glass eye.

Amazing that some of the bulls think this is only going back to pre fake approach levels of 3p. There's clear evidence BoD have orchestrated a fake take over story to flush warrants and enrich insiders. Yet even now they still want to trust them with their money.

I don't think you can trust a word that comes out of their mouths.

Nobody will do it, but I think those promoting the shorting of this stock should be looked at very closely indeed

haggismchaggis - "meanwhile the shorting lowlife"

These people don't exist. There are spread betters but CFD firms by law have to publish that 70% - 80% of their clients lose money. At this end of the market virtually everything is going down, if you could bet on it you'd be a millionaire. Don't assume everybody here who was shouting 'scam' had a spread bet on it. I suspect nobody did.

michaelwhight27, the best thing about this is it alerted many to a stock that the board believe is going to be worth far more than 14p per share, and we got in well below that, so plenty of upside to look forward to as business progresses.
.
"the company described Block SK334 (which hosts Sarawak) as containing “similar resources to those found in the neighbouring billion-barrel Seria field” and said it is “equivalent in scale to some of Europe's largest offshore Oil & Gas fields”."
.
I'll be keeping my UPL stock for that, meanwhile the shorting lowlife will take their profit on the drop Monday and wander off to attack their next stock, leaving this one to a more natural rise as that oil gets closer and closer.
.
It's not a bad stock, or a bad BoD, they had to report what they were told in the approach and that is what they did. If anyone has a gripe, it's with the people saying they are looking at offering 14p and claiming they are associated with Mr Bollinger.

The problem for me is the credibility of the BOD now. In light of this RNS the timing of everything really does stink and I have to give it to the bears that they were correct. I feel mugged and disappointed but not sorry that I am an optimist. Hey it's only money and I only play with what I can lose.

What a scam this was

Well there you go, Mr Bollinger agrees with me that he was linked in the RNS to the approach, and has therefore advised UPL that he is in fact not involved in the approach.
.
"the Company has now received communication from Mr William G Bollinger, the co-founder of Egerton Capital, whom the Company was led to believe was associated with the Approach and the potential offeror. This communication from Mr William G Bollinger has clarified that he has no connection to the Approach or any offeror vehicle known as SEC Capital."
.
So, back to 2p (where it was before the offer RNS) on Monday, but hey ho, that's the gamble, and it's not so bad really as this company is, according to the board, going to be worth a lot more than 14p anyway, so I'll not be selling on Monday I'll be holding on to every share and wait for the big money down the road.
.
Of course, there is still a very minuscule chance that an offer could come in, either from SEC Capital or from another entity which saw the RNS, did some research on UPL, then started looking at making a competing offer itself. But I won't be holding my breath for either.
.
This should certainly be the subject of criminal investigations raised by UPL if SEC Capital if they do not come forward with an official offer.
