jwe the Times article has at long last generated some interest and now they have covered UNG once as a smaller stock to watch they should keep watching it and put in some more updates as time goes on, which will be very good news.

It still today should not be under 30p I think, but it is, lets hope the Times and other media coverage will now make it on more peoples radar.

Tom from t1ps.com was saying how important this latest HTEC update was and the new sales and customers it gave. This is backed up by the Times picking up on UNG as a smaller stock to watch so finally UNG might get the media attention its been missing and in my opinion if it does there is no reason for it not to start getting near to trading on a pr PER of times 15 (or 35p).

Will check as soon as possible for broker upgrades after this news.

Anyone seen any update on thewrongprice.com for UNG ?

sipptrader your kind words. UNG is fine and nothing wrong here and the directors are as good as gold with their word in recent times. EVS yes a bad call and wiped out there, this is life, if we all made the right call all the time we would all be millionaires.

Smaller stock to watch

Universe Group, the AIM-listed provider of forecourt payment systems, added 2¼p at 19¼p on announcing further orders from Asda for its HTEC division. Universe, after the purchase by Britain's second-biggest grocer of 12 former Safeway stores in Northern Ireland, is to supply the sites with its HydraPOS petrol forecourt system, in conjunction with Toshiba hardware. The company also said that Somerfield and Malthouse, the independent petrol retailer, have also become significant customers, while HTEC now has the largest presence in Murco's point-of-sale estate.

Can someone check if the MM's are feeling sick, they have UNG with a 5% spread at the moment, this is not normal and well below what we normally have to put up with ;-)

From UK-analyst.com email;

Shares in Universe Group* rose 2.25p to 19.25p after the forecourt payment and loyalty systems company said that it had received a further significant order for its HydraPOS petrol forecourt system. Following Asda's purchase of 12 former Safeway stores from Morrison, which include five petrol sites, in Northern Ireland, it said that Asda had placed orders with HTEC for HydraPOS to be installed at each of the petrol sites on Toshiba TEC hardware.

Update on t1ps.com, my comments on the article is that Tom is very impressed by the news and UNG is dirt cheap at this price in summary, my take.

Looks like a lot of people were waiting to buy back in (there was no reason for the drop apart from profit taking from previous levels) and now some good news brings more people back.

We should get an update on t1ps.com from this announcement, so will keep an eye out for one, not that I can post its contents, but will comment on it of course.

If CS`s figures are correct for 2006 firstly i would expect the dividend to be higher given the companies history of dividends and secondly the shares should be rated on a fairer p/e of about 15,as you say giving an share price of around 35p.

jwe it is very cheap when these should really be around the 35p mark. They are mastering the art of making more announcements to keep shareholders updated, so I am hoping the previous weeks falls will be the last of this cyclic happening, or at least minimise its effects in future.

The forecast is for a full year 0.5p div on top of the coming 0.25p one in late Nov, but I am hoping for a div level above forecast for full year and I think the CS forecast is low on all counts for this year and next.

Just bought back in to these after the announcement(30k of which 20k will be delayed),i have to say they look pretty cheap at these levels and with a good divi there looks limited downside.Also at the moment there is an unusually narrow spread.

HTEC UPDATE
NEW HYDRAPOS INSTALLATIONS

Universe Group plc ('Universe' or 'the Company'), the forecourt payment and
loyalty systems company, is pleased to announce that it has received a further
significant order for its HydraPOS petrol forecourt system. Following ASDA's
purchase of 12 former Safeway stores from Morrisons, which include five petrol
sites, in Northern Ireland, ASDA has placed orders with HTEC for HydraPOS to be
installed at each of the petrol sites on Toshiba TEC hardware.

This follows other recent forecourt industry developments which saw Fuelforce's
sale of 22 sites to Somerfield, 61 petrol sites to Murco and 25 sites to
Malthurst. As a result:

• Somerfield, and Malthurst, one of the biggest of the independent groups,
have now become significant customers of HTEC;

• HTEC, with Toshiba TEC, now has the largest presence in Murco's Point of
Sale estate. HTEC was already a supplier to Murco.

Commenting on today's announcement, Ray Mackie, Chairman , said: 'It is pleasing to see continuing success from our efforts to gain an increasing our share of this dynamic market. HTEC is working closely in partnership with Toshiba TEC to give our customers the best service on the best equipment.'

UNG is not an asset play in that respect, it is now profitable, profits are forecast to grow and HTEC will be making on its multi 7 figure clear profits in a few short years.

UNG will be delivering much higher EPS levels next year and beyond. What they should do now is sell of Masterchange and pay off the remaining debt and with that done there would be no reason for the price to not be in the mid 30's based on HTEC revenue and earnings.

NAV, is 42p, but as an asset play Intangibles are more than likely irrelevant.
Take out the intangibles and NAV is 4.8p.
