25/10/2005 14:40 | I have not added as lack of funds and also Ray Mackie managed to get some for 15.5p during the earlier of the twice yearly swoops down in the price that happen on UNG, so if I can add at 15p or 16p I will, but that needs the offer and bid down a lot more before it then starts going back up again. | papalpower
25/10/2005 14:38 | NAV is approx 42p and if you want NTAV then its around 4p. PSR is times 0.25 and pr PER is times 8 Bargain at this price and UNG has two times a year when its great to top up, now is one of them, any share with a low PSR and low pr PER is a bargain for an investor. | papalpower
25/10/2005 13:01 | PapalPower; Do you know what the intangibles in the accounts relate to? I'm not convinced they should be included in your NAV calculation. Take the intangibles out and the NAV comes to 4.8p per share. | andyh78
25/10/2005 12:52 | What's happening with this company, it continually disappoints its shareholders. Will the management ever turn this company around. | bluelynx
19/10/2005 11:56 | Papal Hi thanks for that..............if what you say is correct or not. At least I know that others out there feel the same about this stock. Although, I must say my patience is waring a little thin with this and it`s kin RTD. Perhaps there are better places for my hard earned!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Merc | mercedes
19/10/2005 10:58 | Its normal on UNG and this week a lot of smaller stocks are getting hammered by the MM's as they know its a bear market so taking advantage. I want to top up in UNG and SCE but funds are not easily available at the moment (read that new car) and I am missing out unless the price holds down for a few more weeks. The underlying facts remain that NAV is 42p and they are back into profit and profits will rise next financial year, its just the lull period before everyone piles back in later. There is no sinister goings on, its just the way UNG fluctuates and a bearish market feeling. | papalpower
19/10/2005 10:25 | Anyone, can you please shed some light for me...been in this share since CardClear days. Made recent top up. Today the spread as gone to up to 5p,as a % of the share price this is beyond crazy. Does someone know something we don`t. At this time I am down 51.5% 0n "this good long term investment" and it`s already been a long time. Any ideas out there????? Merc | mercedes
14/10/2005 16:08 | Ah well, some you win some you lose. Will have to take my medicine with this one. This a frustrating stock for me, fundamentally it is full of potential but at the moment my trading strategy is perhaps too short term for it. I wonder how long it will be before Master Change is sold off? In the meantime the drop in price represents an excellent medium-long term buying opportunity. Will have to revisit again when i am prepared to sit on the stock for 6 months+ | acrussell
12/10/2005 09:42 | ACRussell, it was not to be UNG, some company called Fuelserve that RTD announced today. | papalpower
11/10/2005 14:50 | ACRussell not really but there must be others, but RTD is so obvious for UNG as UNG came from a divorce of Cardclear from RTD, after the divorce at RTD Cardclear became UNG (around 2000). HTEC is the key and something RTD would want, if you take a look at RTD then HTEC would slot directly in. We will know in good time whether its UNG or not, just hope it is. | papalpower
11/10/2005 14:37 | Indeed, UNG are excellent at keeping things close to their chest, the sale of First Remit being an excellent example. I am unfamiliar with RTD - do you know of any other obvious companies that might be on their radar | acrussell
11/10/2005 14:28 | Afternoon ACRussell, Well it would all add up if it was UNG, we know that HTEC on its own by 07/08 would be worth 20 million to sell it off (in the thread posts many times) and we know from past discussions on here the general feeling is 35p a share for a buyout. So putting 2+2 together to make 5 given the closeness of RTD and UNG from history, there is a good chance it will be a 20 million offer for UNG. Good chance it will not be as well, but a hope is a hope and it does make sense and with it being Ray Mackie/RTD it would be very leak proof until announced. | papalpower
11/10/2005 14:03 | Afternoon Papal, Dipped my toe back into these again on the hope that the offer is for UNG | acrussell
11/10/2005 13:40 | NAV 42p and taking in the future HTEC earnings and also considering the debt then 35p would be a decent price, and that is also 20 million, sorry just dreaming ;) | papalpower
11/10/2005 13:37 | Would be nice an offer of 35p a share for UNG, hope it is as a very big hope ! 11 October 2005 Retail Decisions Plc (the 'Company') Potential Acquisition and Fund Raising The Company announced on Wednesday 5 October 2005 that it was negotiating the acquisition of a complementary business. The Company can confirm that it is in the final stages of completing the associated fund raising of up to £20 million involving an issue of shares expected to be priced at around the 21p per share level. The Company expects to be in a position to make a full announcement shortly. | papalpower
06/10/2005 08:28 | Card Clear demerged from RTD in around 2000 and became Universe Group, so we will have to watch this just in case the RTD discussions announced yesterday in fact turn out to be a bid for UNG. | papalpower
06/10/2005 02:19 | Was rab12 an informed insider ? We might see Masterchange sold off from UNG as part of a deal for RTD to buy UNG (as RTD would want the HTEC side on UNG). Is this why UNG sold of First Remit recently ? It is possible. rab12 - 16 Aug'05 - 22:16 - 227 of 341 As i have said previously on this thread ,UNiverse is ready to be absorbed by someone else. RTD is a possibility as they divorced years ago but could get into bed again with no great difficulty. | papalpower
05/10/2005 17:48 | I have set up a UNG chart thread, as I like to look at the occasional chart. All welcome. This is not designed to supplant the main thread regards, RoL >>>>---------------> | robin_of_loxley
