30/12/2010 10:37 | I had given up on this one...but it looks like it might be coming back to life. | 666james
30/12/2010 09:50 | currently can sell for 8.11 stealth reversal continues | brando69
30/12/2010 00:15 | I am sure we are not seeing the full picture here. There are a number of exchanges and we as PI's tend to only look at LSE and PLUS. We don't see what happens on CHI-X for example. Today a number of sells were quickly absorbed with the price rising to close at a new high. Same thing is happening over at IPI. My thoughts are that if Gartmore are adding then there must be value here. We had the comment that the stock would be worth 70p(I think) but as usual there was confusion as to wehter this was before or after hence no mad rush to buy. Maybe Gartmore know that the 70p valuation is after the pension approval and why they are subsequently buying in quantity. | knowing
29/12/2010 15:32 | "some" being the operative word Nowhere near enough to represent any good news or real demand Just a little optimism Patience is still needed but no doubt it will come good eventually | billybankrupt
29/12/2010 13:50 | there is clearly not a huge amount of stock being held by the market makers. and there is some demand. | brando69
29/12/2010 11:42 | Pension brief hinted that it would be soon, but they did not expect it to be resolved until new year. Saying that, it is nearly upon us Perhaps 2011 will be our year, both as a shareholder and pension rights holder! | billybankrupt
29/12/2010 10:55 | If it is................ | knowing
29/12/2010 10:54 | Pension sorted then !! | psolomons

25/12/2010 13:13 | Not been on here for a while but if as has been stated the PF has sold all its equities and put everything into bonds and gilts then they are just crazy. Without growth stocks they couldn't possibly hope to earn enough to bridge the deficit. The trick is to balance risk not remove it and there are many ways of doing that using other measures, particularly swaps. Having said that, just choosing equities isn't an answer either it depends upon which equities and how much risk you want to take. It's all a balancing act but the main criteria is to match assets with liabilities and unless they have some element of risk they will never do that. | warranty
24/12/2010 12:15 | Don't think Gartmore are punters Brando! | knowing
24/12/2010 12:14 | Big buy on Plus | knowing
23/12/2010 21:49 | what do gartmore know that we don't? or are they just punting on it | brando69
23/12/2010 17:56 | Was Gartmore involved with the Pension deal at all? | knowing
23/12/2010 17:29 | It seems Gartmore are building a sizeable stake. They could work with other significant holders to bid for control once pension position is clear! | reels
22/12/2010 19:06 | Update to pension rights holders yesterday gave little update. Just that the process was ongoing and they hoped to beat the 90% level underwritten by the Government. They did not expect to close the deal prior to Xmas (surprisingly!!) Perhaps we are close or perhaps not | billybankrupt
22/12/2010 10:45 | seems someone is buying on the quiet maybe one last hurrah yet to come | brando69
22/12/2010 10:16 | this is edging up | brando69
17/12/2010 10:38 | it is edging up. seems to be a bit of demand for shares | brando69
16/12/2010 19:00 | We live continually in hope | billybankrupt
16/12/2010 16:49 | closed with spread of just 0.05p 7.3/7.25. maybe, just maybe... | brando69
16/12/2010 14:33 | Apart from a takeover , have this management discussed the possibility of allowing one of the Pension providers , ie the PRU or some other Investment House to take over the Pension Pot , thus releasing the company from its Black Hole , am sure they could grow the Pot far better than the tustees, who for some reason have decided to go for cash...which must be fatal long term. | jotoha2
14/12/2010 13:12 | Like most trustees , they are cautious by nature , hence the flight to so called safety , our old friend Gordon managed to sell a large junk of the countries gold at around $230 and then it decided to go climbing for many years. There is something afoot here with some insti reducing their holdings on what seems like very small volume being shown through the books. I would like a takeover by Danone who did show some interest some years ago , but found the management not up to scratch ,maybe they will have another look soon! | jotoha2
14/12/2010 13:06 | Is that why the share price is up 10% ? !!!! | peawacks |
