tracking IP is a waste of time,as you can obtain an IP in japan for example.even though you are in the uk!

I don't think you can track back that far nowadays (a couple of weeks?) as AFN changed the system where I believe you previously could go back quite far. If it is that important I believe threads can be downloaded and then an individual's previous posts can be viewed by putting his/her name in a box at the top of the page.

Someone may know another way though and correct me.

If you are referring to tracking IP's I understand a few people on the HAWK thread may be able to assist.

anyone think Gartmore bought Pru's stake?

Gartmore now have 10%, bought 5.375m shares on 7 Oct.
Pru had over 6.276m shares but sold also on 7 Oct, but after sale holding is below 5% (so don't need to quantify current holding. No way to calculate actual sale & remaining holding.

hopefully Gartmore haven't been sold or bought a pup!

Will be interesting to hear Rainmakers reply to the previous posts. I know he dodged all these questions when he conveniently disappeared for most of the year. Now, that he's back posting here, let's see if he can properly answer them, and also admit that he called this one horribly wrong.

He can't even answer a simple question about what price he was selling at because he knows that he continued posting positive share price predictions even after he had sold.

bottom line for me is: is you are going to go about sharing your research into why to buy a share, building a repuation and setting yourself up with a following on a BB, you should equally share your research on why you have decided to sell.

not to do so can only lead to the conclusion that you have benefitted from the heat that you have created around that stock.

sorry rainmaker - used to respect and have time for you. not now.

sword. I agree pension issues were always not an issue with RM but I certainly didn't know he had sold out and we will never when he started selling and his final sale and he must have had a fair few!!

No it is not joeblogg. My big problem is because anyone who mentioned the pension deficit was hounded out. Accused of having multiple aliases in the Rainmaker witch hunt. Posters reverted to using "the P issue" The one big thing which makes or breaks the company was not allowed to be discussed.
