11/2/2021 15:26 | We should qualify for some free Marmite to compensate. | fez77

11/2/2021 14:45 | The market seems to be focussing on the areas of concern in the recent results but overlooking the positives like the dividend growth, reasonable multiples, defensive qualities and potential growth areas. At some point perception will change, especially as investors seek income in a low interest environment. I bought a bit soon at around £40 but I’m adding some today and will add again if they fall below the current support. | cousin jack

11/2/2021 12:45 | Same here. Mr Buffet should try his luck again. Unilever may say yes. | action

11/2/2021 11:10 | Come on ULVR - for Fu*ks sake! Had a bit of cash(3k)spare yesterday and considered whether to pop it into ARB (on their recent low) or ULVR on their recent low. Well plumped for ULVR and of course got it totally wrong. As the bishop said to the actress - how low can you go?! | fez77
11/2/2021 09:01 | Mini advances in the share price being capped circa £39.50 area atm. Move back over £40 might suggest an interim low more likely to be in?. | essentialinvestor
10/2/2021 17:12 | Yes still run by Troy and Unilever remains a top holding in the other 2 Troy funds, although I don't track those from month to month. | 1nf3rn0
10/2/2021 16:46 | Thanks for that. Still run by Troy then I'm guessing. | essentialinvestor
10/2/2021 16:18 | I track the portfolio holdings of PNL on a monthly basis (my core low risk holding). By my reckoning, based on ULVR month end prices, they added 160k shares in December and the same again in January*. An almost 30% increase in their holding. I'd expect them to be adding again considering how much cash / gov bonds they hold.Anyone who follows PNL will know that they make very few changes to their portfolio and are typically less than 50% equities.*ULVR was 51m of their portfolio end of Nov, 61m end of Jan and price dropped just over 7% in that time | 1nf3rn0
09/2/2021 23:42 | Shareholders, welcome to the same share price you had in April 2017. Although I can't fault the latest strategy for the long term, I'm not expecting a rapid recovery. Being slow off the mark, I ruefully exited my modest position on results day at 4101p, an 11.5% hit including fees after only a 6 month stint, switching the majority of proceeds to a vanadium and battery storage play (no ramp intended). Alas, I'm not such a patient investor when I envisage the opportunity cost. | cordwainer
09/2/2021 22:21 | How does the idea of hiring Jordan Belfort to replace our hapless Jope sound? A bit of drive and life at the helm would give us back a sense of purpose and direction | purplepelmets
09/2/2021 21:49 | Maybe so but between two of them its not insignificant | mercury123
09/2/2021 18:38 | Nice to see some director buying | mercury123
09/2/2021 16:16 | Fwiw there looks cold hard business logic behind the strategy. Unilever 'sustainable' brands are outpacing their wider portfolio. Over 70% + of Unilever's growth is from those brands. And ULVR are arguably well ahead of the wider sector on this. The rest of the sector is moving in this direction, just more slowly. That will change. | essentialinvestor
09/2/2021 15:28 | Board need to concentrate on making a profit for the shareholders which all depends on marketing for an FMCG business like this which rather depends on CSR including "Greeenery". a.k.a. having a business model that's sustainable for all stakeholders, not least the shareholders. a.k.a. competing. a.k.a. adding value to the brands. etc. | cordwainer
09/2/2021 14:43 | If you graph ULVR over 10 years against a global ETF, such as HMWO, it's interesting to see how closely correlated they are (ULVR having the added benefit of around 3.5% divi versus less than 2% from the global ETF), up to the pfizer vaccine announcement date in November. That's where the divergence begins.Question is whether this is a smart time to move some global profits into ULVR against the trend. | 1nf3rn0
09/2/2021 14:36 | * record pre tax profits and their highest ever free cash flow. (excluding the spread disposal proceeds). | essentialinvestor
