Unilever full year results

Mould says Unilever’s Q3 sales came in way above expectations, increasing by 4.4% on an underlying basis, its fastest volume growth in five years.

Analysts are pencilling in slightly lower sales growth of 3.5% for the final quarter which would bring growth for the year to 1.9%.

The Share Centre notes that Unilever has been tapping into the ESG trend and has outlined plans to increase meat and dairy substitute sales to €1bn per year in five to seven years and achieve zero emissions from its operations by 2030.

should test 48 in the coming weeks.

I saw that there is again rumour of Unilever buying the small AIM company Byotrol (BYOT). Yes when I saw that I bought in yesterday on a dip. On my research into BYOT I found out they had a 24 hour product for defence against bacteria / virus, had a few ex employees from Unilever in the management team and no debt. They had a government grant to look into covid long term daily defence on surfaces and could be going into the NHS / airplanes and public transport. Worth a look...

Unilever has designed a factory to run within a shipping container, with just an electricity cable and water hose required to produce hundreds of tonnes of product every day.

Interesting talk. Napier did say during that talk (recorded in August 2020) that he thought CPI could get to 4% in 2020. Official rate is 0.8% for December 2020.

US 10 year treasuries have been rising since that podcast was recorded. I would guess that has some negative effect on Unilever share price. UK 10 year not so much.

Struggling to see why this fireside chat with Morgan Stanley has only 292 views on Youtube. Clearly Unilever is not flavour of the month. Good reason to buy.
