06/3/2016 07:16 | This is the Environment Agency's response to the last time they followed up complaints in February. Gla :-) Environment Agency statement on Horse Hill smell On Tuesday, we reported on complaints made by people living near the Horse Hill oil site in Surrey about a hydrocarbon smell that coincided with a flow test of the well. Several people reported the smell to the Environment Agency. DrillOrDrop asked the Agency questions about how many people had complained and where they had noticed the smell. We also asked about whether there was a condition in the site†The Environment Agency replied this morning. Here is the response in full: The Environment Agency takes the environmental risks associated with drilling for oil and gas very seriously. We are investigating reports of odour and water quality issues received over the last few days. As part of our investigation, we have made visits to the site and the local vicinity. We have not detected any odours or water quality issues and there is no evidence of any environmental impact. Assessment of the regular monitoring results from the site gas detection system shows no signs of gas release from the well. The site drainage is fully sealed and the water level in the drainage ditch is being controlled to prevent any water leaving site. Any excess water that accumulates is being tankered away to an appropriately licensed facility. The environmental permit issued contains a condition on odour management. If the operator breaches this condition, we may require them to submit and implement an approved Odour Management Plan. We will continue to carry out regular inspections of the local area and site checks during these short term operations to ensure the operator continues to do everything necessary to protect the environment and people. | ![]() moneymunch
05/3/2016 23:49 | A third of a trillion dollars was invested in renewable power that,s serious money and it set a new record for global clean energy investment, even in the face of stiff competition from cheap fossil fuels. The cost of producing clean energy keeps dropping, and the fuel sun, wind, water is free. | ![]() dlg3

05/3/2016 22:39 | 'Minimal stimulation? Really? On 15 February no less than 5 local residents - not the environmental campaigners Dave Lenigas lambasts as the unwashed but posh Surrey folk - reported powerful smells coming from the site to the Environment agency. One resident was, at the time, running in the next field and reports being knocked over by the smells which left her unable to breathe properly and continue running. She has now been told by her doctor that she has inhaled fumes which appear to be hydrogen sulphide on a large scale and she was in the next field to the site. Two weeks later she is still suffering such was the scale of the internal damage caused'. A sad statement by the self confessed unhygienic drunk. Let there be no doubt that prior to the start of any drilling there would have been several Consents required to which UKOG would have had to not only met their requirements but also have had to prove how they would meet and comply with them. With the prominence placed on this site and constant complaints from the unwashed brigade, you can be certain that the various Agencies; Natural England, Environment Agency et al, would be requiring daily monitoring reports and would themselves have visited on several occasions. News about that poor, poor fragile woman with the delicate lungs (all say aaahhh), would have been brought to their attention within hours of her making that statement and if they found any evidence or believed that the site was responsible, have issued a notice to improve or shut down. The self confessed unhygienic drunk, manipulates, deceives, lies and spreads false information. He is vocal about many companies with false information. Why the hell have none taken legal action against this dangerous clown. He has cost many PIs big losses. | ucretin

05/3/2016 13:11 | With oil at $38.82 USD right now the $40USD level could be broken this coming week on the back of greatly reduced global investment and actual Saudi/ OPEC production cuts. If the CNN film is put out on Quest it will be shown 6 times this weekend to cover all time zones----I will be looking out for it today. BBC World have an audience of some 80 million viewers I suspect CNN have a far larger audience. Trading on Monday is going to look very interesting. | ibug

05/3/2016 10:26 | Looks like the ukog PR machine is in top gear for pushing forword production. Hope all these tv interviews will help SS quell any negative vibes about NOT fracking and using new tech to bring more efficiency. . Shout about the positives and any concerns will be subdude into submission. ...Sorry to ask but what with so many postings that had nothing to do with ukog the info regarding the next testing is when?
