And this is meant in humour, if I had a £ for the amount of times I've read on the various HH threads over the months as well as other company's threads "I wouldn't want to be out of this or short on this over the weekend" I'd be a rich man! ;-)
Though of course it had to be said just like on Qi when Alan Davies states the obvious wrong answer to the sounds of claxons and laughter..
Good luck all, hope for a great next week though I would be surprised to see an RNS Monday morning

That won't do us any harm.

Have good weekend all, my prediction for the rugby on the weekend is a Wales win, a Scotland win and an Ireland win.

Well those immortal words have to be said by someone and I guess it's my turn.

"Would not want to be out of this one over the weekend" and also before someone else says it "Would not want to be short on this one over the weekend".

Agreed that today's trading looks prime for a RNS on Monday. Let's hope the good news continues.

I agree. I would not mind remaining independent as long as we are going to be really big with deep pockets behind in terms of financing long term.

This hot topic amongst shareholders is hotting up and elsewhere they are talking of nationalisation.

So, lots of investor*s ideas flying everywhere.

Thanks all. 4.3.16

JLondon, it is of course one of the options and I have posted a few times here my view is HH / Weald will become a target for a major given the prospect of a shed load of low cost onshore oil in a stable country with a reasonable fiscal regime.
From my perspective it is a matter of when and how:

how - I can't see a BP, Total or Shell seeking a JV with a rag tag bag of AIM minnows, it will be a full take out of the license interest. Cash therefore to the current holders who will divi it up to shareholders / spend on other projects.

when - that is the big question... they come in today and pay X but take on a risk level of 5Y as there are still major unknowns re for example sustained flow rates, planning, quantity of oil recoverable OR say they come in after a extended well test where many of the unknowns are cleared up, in that case they pay 5X and take on a risk level of say 2Y.... it depends on what the Majors risk appetite is, but you can bet your last dollar many of them are already doing the analysis and drafting the internal briefing docs!

I am in it for the long term, for us PI's if it stayed independent and all goes well and you happy to hold for a number of years there is a lot more money to be made than a sell out in the short term to a major.

It then comes down to your own preference - cash today at a premium to current share price and move on to next investment or long term hold and much more cash in the future... I know my strategy!

Let's face it if there's a French major then the uk gov will probably intervene and "advise Ukog to sell" Everything else has been sold to them so why would this be any different

One step at a time jlondon, the detractors said there would be no oil at HH and are still in denial, and as it is, it looks like there is potential for millions if not billions of barrels recoverable, the flowtest data so far is beyond all expectations......the market is still in disbelief, but all will become clear in the coming days, weeks and months......if we've got the oil in the ground and it's recoverable and fits Nutech and Schlumberger's assessment then it will be transformational for all concerned, including HM Govt. and UK Plc......going forward into production as far as funding etc is concerned will not be an issue. GL ;-)

The next few steps are:

Conclusion of combined zone 1,2 & 3 flow test results.

A planned Ernst&Young financial analysis and valuation.

A decision about the way forward for HHDL which might lead to MPET either selling it's HH holding or farming in.

And then there is the development permission of the IoW Arenton well.

A firmed up schedule for HH-1 exploration production wells.

There have been market rumors that have prompted discussions about alternative possibilities imo....all conjecture with an element of truth. Did you observe the men in suits at the site this morning----perhaps something is brewing for sure.

No one mentioned takeover of UKOG- that is not even in the realm of any talk anywhere. In the case of 88e, there is no flow test but the annual report just released on ASX says they are going to farm out.[For avoidance of doubt] Going forward, any GENUINE shareholder will want to know the next step forward, at least in discussion with other fellow genuine shareholders.

The MACD chart indicates a new buying cycle is just starting with the RSI just about to cross the signal line...great stuff----upwards and onward as the share price restarts a rise.
