Harold the great - the chart in post 323 shows nearly 100% repellency after 5 hours using guardian. So it doesn't matter if they were comparing against 100% deet - you can't do a lot better than 100% repellency.I remember similar cynicism and inertia from asthma experts when flutiform came to market, even though a totally uninitiated fool could tell there was a useful place for it in a market that demanded differentiated products. Cynicism can get dull.

haroldthegreat,

I believe it is because TYRATECH are attempting to compare like with like,in respect of safety standards, bearing in mind that revenues are mainly generated in N America.

Products containing between 10% and 30% DEET have been found by the American Academy of Pediatrics to be safe to use on children, as well as adults, but recommends that DEET not be used on infants less than two months old, whilst Health Canada barred the sale of insect repellents for human use that contained more than 30% DEET in a 2002 re-evaluation. The agency recommended that DEET-based products be used on children between the ages of 2 and 12 only if the concentration of DEET is 10% or less and that repellents be applied no more than 3 times a day.

"Safe" can however be quantified, where DEET is concerned, for manufacturers advise that DEET products should not be used under clothing or on damaged skin, and that preparations be washed off after they are no longer needed or between applications.
DEET can also act as an irritant and in rare cases may cause severe epidermal reactions.

TYRATECH's DEET-free insect repellents meanwhile claim to provide a true mosquito and tick repellent alternative .Said to be safe and effective, plant-based Guardian is available in two strengths suited to individual needs. Guardian has been field tested and lab tested to EPA standards for a DEET-based repellent.Other non-DEET or natural repellents are focused on the safety of their solutions, whereas Guardian delivers a repellent that meets not just safe ingredient expectations but also efficacy competitive to DEET.

haroldthegreat-You mentioned earlier that you faced the public.Have you any insight on how have sales of Vamousse might have developed ?

why do they have trials with 15%deet?a trial with 50% would be more significant

Another 61-year-old troll for the filter bin.

A quick glance at your posting history is all anyone needs to know about you.

Why do you bother?

I thought you were "on a roll" "michaels".

By the look of the share price action today, it's nothing but a ham roll.

Least you deserve. Hope the mustard chokes you.

Turns out that the Natunex products that Novartis were marketing were actually being sold by Invesco, a division of MWI Animal Health...

(may take a while to upload)

So, MWI were in the picture long before the recent announcement by Tyratech.

The middle man has been removed....

As I am now the owner of a freebie sample of Tyratech’s Guardian Insect repellent, I thought I would see if there is anything published to support it’s efficacy before I risk getting bitten to bits in the Everglades:

See this article from the world renowned Roanoke Times which is somewhat reassuring:

To the decent regular posters on here, please don't interact with these morons who have no interest in Tyratech...

I do find it a pity this site is plagued by childish moronic trolls but ADVFN refuse to do anything about them.

Buys outnumber sells by 2:1 and we are down 7%... no logic in that.

...so I just took another 94k. Happy with that...and another 100k.

There's a new upbeat interview with Bruno Jactel on Director's talk:

michaelsadvfn,

Thanks for the detail on the pharmacists.I wonder if it were Bruno Jactel who presided for that would help explain their subsequent enthusiasm.

Interestingly when Bruno was quizzed on the potential for share price improvement, his response was that he was not interested in how many additional tens of millions TYRATECH might command by way of a market cap,for his thinking and ambitions revolved around a future capitalisation in multiples of £100 million.

Music to my ears !

mudbath,

I can't believe your timing mate. Congrats.

Are you aware that when Vamousse was introduced to pharmacists(I believe there were intro 200 present) the response resulted in Tyratech having to perform an emergency production run to cope with the demand?

It's these little things that tell me all I need to know.

Even though TYRATECH has a superb product range, it still takes something of a miracle to go from a standing start to demonstrating the exceedingly significant growth in revenues at excellent gross margins that has been achieved in just two years.

We are of course promised further acceleration of this growth.

I see CEO Bruno Jactel as the main catalyst behind this "miracle, for imo he is on the stairway to becoming a legend.
Smart, educated, charismatic, photogenic, articulate, well connected and handsome;Bruno has it all in spades.
No wonder then that Walmart,Walgreens and numerous other serious retailers fell over themselves to get TYRATECH products onto their shelves.
That it has proved so effective and garnered huge positive feedback from consumers and retailers alike is the icing on the cake and of course a motivator, across the board, for more of the same.

As michaelsadvfn and others have detailed in earlier posts,TYRATECH appears to have a very exciting future and could be THE BIG ONE !! (imo)

Very nice. Someone bought 2.25m today, about £80k worth.

I'd guess it was someone who attended the recent presentation. Roll up, roll up.

Yes, very nice Nobby.

There's the reason for this spike, 1m in delayed buys.

Make that 1.25m

Well almost a million shares net bought today! That is high volume by TYRU standards. I think it is clear that the overhang has gone but we will have to wait and see for a couple of days for confirmation on that.

So you have made about £20k on paper today michael; not a bad day's work!
