21/3/2016 07:23 | I suppose Edi needs to either define a controlling stake (alone or with other investors), deal with it and be patient like the rest of us, or sell his 19% off. | manics
21/3/2016 07:21 | I suppose status quoLong can't buyShorts can't sell more. Current markep cap around 70m. Ed just needs another 49m to buy remaining 70%Pushing share price down will help ed to buy cheap. In that scenario shorts can't increase position | bs76
21/3/2016 07:11 | Hmm, wonder what the next move is. | chemistdude
21/3/2016 07:10 | Hmm. I thought board was controlled by Ed. it doesn't seem that way. | bs76
21/3/2016 07:08 | Edi can't have it all his own way. | manics
20/3/2016 23:12 | Yes truell will be buying tomorrow morning to get some below his offer price He will be competing against 7-8m shorts. some opportunity funds. It will not take much to reach offer price. | bs76
20/3/2016 23:11 | K3VMC I agree that both didn't give the impression of being gamblers and that this time from all the measures the company has taken for the first time there is a clear path to profitability. It does concern me that that rightly or wrongly Edi has been given most of the blame and despite drawing a line in the sand at capital markets, in the last week we have seen the share price tumble 1/3 from its recent high. Who know's what a frustrated Edi can do in those circumstances? | chemistdude
20/3/2016 23:07 | Truell will do whatever it takes at the lowest possible price to make himself and his backers the most profit. Reputation is not part of the mix. | keyno
20/3/2016 23:07 | 3.27%(4m)* | bs76
20/3/2016 23:04 | K3vmc that's on loan. I heard from my friend that utilisation rate might be between 60-80% of 10.3m. shorts must be between 6 to 8m3.54% (around 4m) is from fund's over 0.5%. So another 2-3m seems to right number from small short positions. Few of them might be sharephropet's follower ;) best of luck to them | bs76
20/3/2016 22:55 | We have to remember that David Williams and Nick Parker both bought in the 60's chem and Manics, did either of those guys come across as gamblers to you? I couldn't see either of them taking a bet at 10/1 on, personally. That is not to disrespect them, but IMHO, they would only buy at those levels if they were CERTAIN there was a payoff guaranteed from there. I admit to buying more at 54.25p on Friday. I would have bought above that, but I was busy and didn't see the price until late on. bs76, 10,500,000 to buy back? Hmm... | k3vmc
20/3/2016 22:55 | And I was bit surprised about JP closing thrice in a week. They been in Tung short for over 1 year and they never did that before. And we still don't know about Thursday and Friday. They might have closed more. Quite suspicious !!! | bs76
20/3/2016 22:51 | Thx manics for the info. I wasn't aware. Ed truell might follow Branson to keep his reputation intact. | bs76
20/3/2016 22:41 | Remember Branson with Virgin? Floated. Market ponced about. Branson went back private at IPO price. | manics
20/3/2016 22:35 | Regardless of outcome. I will be happy for short squeeze tomorrow. Like INTQ went from 70p to 150p last monthTung stock on loan is way more than INTQ. | bs76
20/3/2016 22:33 | One more thing. I don't think edi will be buying on his own. He might in with some other private equity guys. Do we really think that these guys will pay 400% on the current price to be same as IPO?I would be laughing to bank tomorrow if the offer is close to 200p but my brain doesn't believe that. :( | bs76
20/3/2016 22:32 | Whatever happens, next week is a showing of cards from nearly everyone. | manics
20/3/2016 22:26 | chemistdude "less than ipo price is unacceptable. He can't just come and take it on the cheap and keep all the up" I think for "can't" read "shouldn't". I've seen much worse done on AIM, but I think Edi is a cut above the NW's of this world and I expect him to play with a straight bat. | k3vmc
20/3/2016 22:25 | I agree k3mvc but just trying to think logically because with these fund managers you can never predict. They don't have emotions. All the odey's loss have already been updated in his monthly nav. So in this he will be making more than 109% from Tung in this month's nav. So it all depends whether odey believe in this idea or not | bs76
20/3/2016 22:22 | Yes but IPO price doesn't matter. In my opinion the price will be on what odey agrees. His average is 1.50. At the moment he is 60% down. Either he will take 1.20 which will 20% loss (better than 60-70%)Or if he really believes in the idea, he might buy another 6% to kill the buyout. That what he did in plus500So it all depends on odey | bs76
20/3/2016 22:18 | bs76 £1.20!!!! I may just have wet myself! :-)) | k3vmc
20/3/2016 22:16 | Like many on here my intention has always been to hold these for at least 5 years which would have taken me 2020 as a minimum. Just as all the problems have been fixed and profitability is actually on the horizon it now seems we are losing all the future upside in what imo is one of the most exciting opportunities in the fintech space or even the whole of AIM. Make no mistake ET, WE are the public markets and we fully understand the business and the opportunity. I have bought with him during the bear raid and all the way down increasing my original pre-Feb 2015 holding by more than a factor of five. There's no way Odey, Morgan Stanley, Sanlam Four, would back a deal where they would lose out. Odey's avg is at £1.50 for goodness sake! IMO anything less than ipo price is unacceptable. He shouldn't just take it on the cheap and keep all the upside to himself. | chemistdude |
