I think that when they have an agreement in place the gas can then be added to reserves seem to remember reading it.

Ah! Great! Thanks SS. Sounds promising. Not sure but maybe Tullow are in the process of formalising a new Plan of Development for TEN oil and gas and Jubilee Gas?

On GSA the 2022 Annual Report said "The Foundation Gas Volume Agreement (JFGVA), agreed with the Government of Ghana in 2005 came to completion at the end of 2022. A new framework was required to allow for the continued supply of gas from Jubilee to the Government of Ghana, in line with the Company’s strategy to commercialise gas resources in Ghana. The Interim Gas Sales Agreement is forecast to enable continued export until the end of June 2023, when a long-term gas sales agreement is expected to be in place."

Nothing about a 2nd gas processing plant at Atuabo which is needed to process additional gas being flared by Tullow! And why are gh.gov building a FLNG gas import facility at Tema whilst 12,000 boepd of gas is flared every day by Tullow and partners. Gh.gov really are stupid!!!

So, today finally published some monthly production numbers Jan through May 2023 for Jubilee and TEN. Dividing petrocom monthlies by 31/28/31/30/31 respectively results in

Jubilee

Jan 77,485 bopd
Feb 71,194 bopd
Mar 67,921 bopd
Apr 66,590 bopd
May 68,995 bopd

Mths 1 to 5 ave 70,447 bopd

TEN

Jan 20,410 bopd
Feb 20,172 bopd
Mar 20,447 bopd
Apr 20,267 bopd
May 19,680 bopd

Mths 1 to 5 ave 20,195 bopd

Above actuals pretty much same as tanker movements suggested. Don't have any additional insights into TEN as no new loadings but as already mentioned looks like Jubilee now closer to 80K.

Oh! and 57% of boepd's produced by TEN are now gas. It's a gas field that produces some associated oil ;-) Most of that gas is either re-injected (65%) or flared (25%).

JUB + TEN flare about 12,000 barrels equivalent of gas daily.

JUB + TEN monthly gas off-take to GNGC was 101.67/111.55/74.75/74.0/118.58 mmscfd (@ $0.50/MCF from memory). New GSA req'd!

If I were running the company maybe I'd defer the TEN maintenance shut down to save $$$. But of course that may not be possible due to safety implications and the upgrade is partly to reduce flaring.

2023 will be a year of two halves. 1H Dire. 2H Much Better (if JSE performs).

FT "Saudi Arabia and Russia will extend or make additional cuts to oil production in August, the two most powerful members of Opec+ said on Monday, as they scrambled to boost the price of crude.

Saudi Arabia’s state news agency, citing an official source, said the kingdom would extend the 1mn-barrels-a-day production cut announced last month for July into August, while Russia’s deputy prime minister and top energy official Alexander Novak said Moscow would also make a “voluntaryR21; supply cut of an additional 500,000 b/d next month. Oil prices rose slightly on the news....."

USA SPR now at 348,617

Less than half its peak. I wonder do they ever intend to replace the 378 million barrels they've withdrawn.

That's over a million barrels a day for a year.

It's today. One day earlier than was anticipating. But that could be as it's last few days of 1H. Gets it in as a 'receivable' or whatever the accounting term is even though cash won't show up for who knows 10 days??? (may be writing BS as accounts not my thing!) But anyway suggests new well continues to deliver.

Looks like a tanker is lining up to probably start offloading from Jubilee later today. Will know if today in about 4 hrs.
