Does anyone have up-to-date data on the scale of shorts at the moment...are they increasing or decreasing

So Kosmos, by implication …don't do their DD properly before spending $800m ? As for GNPC participation in the deal , perhaps there is something the state owned oil company of Ghana does not know ?
Don’t get me wrong..there is no harm being cautious in these situations but all to often the blind are leading the blind. Many short funds will be shorting across a whole sector possibly with a cross trade against a long oil or another contrasting risk like KOSMOS.

The challenge for Tulllow management is to acknowledge that dividends and share buybacks are easy ways to stop manipulation…not so easy to do with bond holder covenants which is why despite massive cash flow yields the shorters are getting away with it ?

Might i also point out that some longstanding shorts have recently been closing positions … have they realised the error of their ways ?

I've heard so much about the wicked shorts and their motive etcFact is they do their DD and properly research as the risk is limitless if they get it wrong Management's job is to ensure transparency and clearly set out a plan to grow shareholder value The level of debt and the recent agreement on financing were flagged as a harbinger of solid news on a a path to recovery All that has dried up and the recent silence is telling Obfuscation reeks

I HAVE SAID THIS SINCE HE ARRIVED:

Raúl needs to get control of a board dominated by non execs who appear to want a quiet life. If he continues to understate the current position the company will be taken over. A larger company could refinance and with current cash flow yields make a fortune . In my humble opinion of course.

He has his own agenda to drive the share price as low as possible and planning to go the same way as PMO imho.

If i can work out then why arnt the FSA all over this?

Proves one point yet again. If the sewer rat shorters increase, run for the hills and sell.

No matter how good the company are doing, these scum will crash the share price for no reason..

TLW IS PROOF.... YET AGAIN!

LOL dear oh dear. Care to make a comment RAUL your ship is sinking whilst you sit in your little bunker living the high life and drinking champers.

Sort it or resign and take scruffy git les with u.

Utter disgrace how you can sit back and let this happen to ,OUR, company.

How the hell can a company lose a third of its value when oil has gone up $16 during the same period?

Corrupt as you like.

Care to step in FSA? Or are you going to do what you did with PMO; NOTHING until shamed into action when it was to late to save the company?

But heyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, that's in your interest isn't it, you can then impose a pitiful fine and give it to the taxman whilst investors get mugged and get nothing. You more or less skimmed from the top of fraudulent gains.

, UTTER WASTE OF SPACE!

If the large holders believe they would be buying up hand over fist even the naked shorting ones. Sure seem like a few hundred thousand can melt market cap and skew the ratio of market cap to debtTime for the BOD to step up and buy in the open market and show belief by their actions

booty, it does hurt the share price obviously, as the share price seems to be capped to the top when the oil price is rising. while it falls when the oil price has a downwards correction.

Hi there bootycall,

"The presentation from partner Kosmos, has exposed the Tullow board. They appear to prefer to underpromise and over deliver."

Surely that is a good thing. Unless you would prefer them to overpromise and under deliver?

Happy now?

I mean, common; TLW has lost nearly a 3rd of its value, whilst oil has gone up $16 a barrel.

65p to 46p.............. and being manipulated lower.

Why is that?

13th september lol, my oh my.

Errrrrrrrr does that mean I could not buy back in?

Please keep up and not get personal.

The main offender here is RAUL, he sits back and lets the MM manipulate the share price lower on a daily basis for his sewer rat shorting mates.

He must be the most miserable lack lustre CEO i have ever seen, at least 3 investors fell asleep watching him and dreary les the other day.

Dean, if you checked out the info in my posts you will learn they are facts.
Im in mega loss with this corrupt runt of the litter stock, just like 80% of mugged investors.

Raul is a lazy freeloader, les is worse. They need to do a days work or resign.
