14/10/2021 08:40 | Thanks your thoughts Thommie | billy_buffin
14/10/2021 08:14 | Tullow has 700m liquidity plus a 600m credit facility on top. shouldnt be an issue. and it will be fast paying back.so we could see a loss of 6500 bopd by the EG and gabon sale earlier for 140m while tullow in the end just change the production interest from over there to ghana for the same 140m?:) | thommie
14/10/2021 08:09 | 1 year cash flow for jubilee and TEN cash flow after opex (13$\bbl) in avg .while opex in TEN is higher than jubilee. I asume bopd rates of 80 000 formel jubilee and 31 000 for TEN jubilee:0,038 x 80 000 x 365 x, 98 fpso uptime) x 70$\bbl (at 83$\bbl brent - 13$\bbl opex) = 76 118 560 $TEN :, 083 x 31 000 x 365 x0, 98 x 70 = 64 425 347$good to get an idea... any thoughts? | thommie
14/10/2021 08:00 | also the wording 'if fully exercised' implies that tullow can cherry pick and dont have to take the interests in both fields. | thommie
14/10/2021 07:58 | sorry, made a mistake. Tullow stake is 35,48% on jubilee. Kosmos 24,08%. if tullow uses its pre emption rights to aquire 3,8% of jubilee it would be 39,3% tullow and 38,3% kosmos.so maybe the possible part tullow can pre emption is dependend on the amount kosmos would overtake tullow in WI. It cant be in tullows interest to lose the operatorship, that would endanger their 10 year plan.what would it cost? I guess the 3,8%.jubilee stake would be around 75m, while the TEN interest of 8,3% would be around the same. you also have to take into account that the sale price got adjusted from 550m to 460 as it iss backdated from 1.4. | thommie
14/10/2021 07:49 | 'Kosmos has acquired an additional 18.0% interest in the Jubilee field and an additional 11.0% interest in the TEN fields in Ghana. This transaction increases Kosmos' interests in Jubilee to 42.1% and in TEN to 28.1%. The transaction is subject to a 30-day pre-emption period, which, if fully exercised, could reduce Kosmos' ultimate interest in Jubilee by 3.8% to 38.3%, and in TEN by 8.3% to 19.8%. Prior to closing the transaction, OXY resolved certain historical tax claims related to the sold interests.'so finally it happens. the pre emption rights will be tullows, as tullow IR answered some weeks ago!a pitty they cant pre emption a higher percentage in jubilee. but I guess better to get 3,8% of the jubilee and maybe 1,2% vom gnpc better than nothing. would be a bargain atm this transaction price and future predicted production increase. I dont know if you wanna pre emption the TEN stake?additinally with this transaction there could otherwise be a switch in operatorship at jubilee, as kosmos would be at 42,1 vs 37% | thommie

14/10/2021 01:33 | Compelling Transaction!!! Kosmos Energy sinks $550 million into buying Occidental’s Ghana oil assets It’s teaming with Ghana National Petroleum Corp. in the deal valued at a combined $750 million. Kosmos will pay $550 million while GNPC will pay $200 million for the Houston-based company’s interests in the Jubilee and TEN offshore fields, Occidental said in a statement Wednesday. The proceeds will go toward reducing Occidental’s debt. Kosmos chairman and CEO Andrew G. Inglis described the deal in a statement as “a compelling transaction ... that accelerates our strategic delivery and is expected to provide long-term sustainable cash flow from fields where we have a deep understanding of the value and future upside.” Occidental acquired the stakes when it bought Anadarko Petroleum Corp. in 2019 and had previously agreed to sell them to TotalEnergies SE as part of a wider African sale, which eventually fell through. Kosmos said it expects the additional Ghana interests to generate around $1 billion of free cash flow by the end of 2026, assuming Brent oil prices remain above $65 a barrel. Good news and gives an indication of Tullows Ghana share value and confidence in Ghana asset and new management,. and also with GNPC involved helps stability. <<br /> Kosmos Energy Announces Launch of Public Offering of Common Stock | subsurface
