07/4/2020 05:04 | Another post from LSE. Clever postWith the current pooMon 22:29It's looking like we will have another great day tomorrow, 26/28/30/32/35p very achievable.. imho Tullow has along way to go back to the 60/70/£1.00+ regions but those shorts buying will be instrumental in the process as the share price needs to go up massively to attract some sellers and that's the catch 22! So up the share price will go... | ![]() leoneobull
07/4/2020 05:03 | Brent up again....and this from LSEMBS is in trouble.Mon 23:49Trump and Putin to give him an ultimatum by Thursday if he hasn't pulled his socks up. He may be told to turn off the taps until the glut has gone. Saudi have run out of storage space, not running out but run out. MBS has taken liberties and his day of reckoning is upon him. If he doesn't sing the right tunes by Thursday watch this space. Either way the cuts will be made and MBS and kingdom will be punished. | ![]() leoneobull

06/4/2020 19:38 | Ham74 - the farm out deal to CNOC and Total Note, the, figure quoted for the 22% share was $900m but most was deferred consideration so the real value was more like $650m ($900m for Tullow’s entire share). CNOC pre-emoted the deal so it wa to be split between the two parties. | ![]() frazboy

06/4/2020 19:07 | Why would you value Uganda above the value of the FO deal ($900m) which has since collapsed, and was agreed in happier times, and Kenya at more than zero (not dissimilar to tight oil play in terms of costs and recoverable reserves per well except its in the middle of Africa?). I think it’s more a question of what they can get for their producing non-operated assets, and part of TEN/Jubilee. | ![]() frazboy
06/4/2020 19:06 | Agree with this. The risk remains that some go bust this time around, but definitely some great opportunities at the moment for the brave. | ![]() heialex1
06/4/2020 18:58 | Business daily article yesterday suggests tullow Uganda and Kenya assets taken together worth around usd 1.6 billion. If this is true it could be enough to make tullow debt free and wipe out debt at current market prices ( though would leave some debt if the debt has to be repaid at par value). Are the figures quoted the latest ones though? | ![]() ham74

06/4/2020 18:45 | Very interesting published today If Tullow were to exit, the challenge would fall to Kenya to find a buyer who is able to continue the progress made on the project. Speculation that Total is looking to buy Tullow Oil's operations in East Africa was dismissed by CEO Patrick Pouyanné. Africa Oil, which through lack of financial muscle is unable to develop the project alone, now faces a project without two partners. In the current climate, Chinese companies could foreseeably take over the project, analysts say."If you look around and you say who else has a strategic interest in getting these assets it would be the China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC)," says Charles Wanguhu, platform coordinator for the Kenya Civil Society Platform on Oil and Gas (KCSPOG). "They have assets in Sudan, South Sudan and Uganda and they have the financial muscle to build the pipeline."Other reports indicate the China National Chemical Corporation (ChemChina), Royal Dutch Shell or ExxonMobil may have an interest. | ![]() anslow
06/4/2020 18:22 | This was priced to go bust recently. The recent news confirmed Tullow is not going bust and their low cost production will see to that. They will continue business at a slower pace will lower capex and come out the other side. At 25p its very good value with very limited downside and plenty of potential upside. | ![]() sharekitchen1974
06/4/2020 17:50 | U.S. Energy Secretary says that after talking to energy ministers of Russia and Saudi Arabia, he hopes the two countries will end their war over market share this week. However, given that he makes no mention of the USA cutting its own oil production, because to do so it would incur even more job losses in the U.S. which would further damage Trump's re election prospects in November; I do not hold much hope of and end to the 'war'. | ![]() azalea
